there is a place on Maxted road- on the corner with Oglander which will cut good quality thick foam to the size you want.

I think its called carole henry- anyway they make curtain, cushions etc. I got some for the same purpose there - not cheap but quality.

Can't remember the name of the online company, but we used boat grade foam - essentially the stuff used to line bunk beds etc in boats. It was reasonable price wise, nice and firm and fire resistant. They cut the pieces to size which was great as our bay window was not straight. I'll try and find the link.

Aha, it was the foam shop:

Thanks for the recommendation re the foam. We are going to make small window seats and use the online site - what does anyone recommend re covers for those. For such a small job (and these are v small window seats - it seems a bit ott to get from angel upholstery although I do agree they are fantastic.

Hi, Ive made a few window style seats for our house myself. I can?t use a sewing machine.

I have very successfully used beautiful H&M tablecloths to cover many occasional seats. I use a piece of ply or mdf or thin easy to cut to size wood. Pop on the foam, flip over and staple gun in place. Happy to send you photos and answer any questions if you want to give me your email adresss. Your forum email account is full and not mailable btw.

    • Without doubt.. just seem to expect others or council to deal with it…no, don’t think it is that …just the fact that people these days are working hard, tired, stressed.. what were houses are now converted into flats…there is community spirit, well hope so.. neighbours hardly see one another, let alone know each other as work schedule is no longer 7/9 …only older more established people who have lived in area, and not making a quick buck, understand… people don’t even have the time to talk to neighbours unless annoyed or complaining.. when was the last time one smiled and said hello..or even started a conversation in a queue?

    • Blimey, this has turned from celebrating a new and exciting Bagel business in East Dulwich to a Jeremy Corbyn experience very quickly.  Let's get back on point and welcome our soon to arrive business, I for one am looking forward to it.
