The Facebook link doesn't work and I can't see a menu on their page either, am I missing something?

The deliveroo menu doesn't mark ingredients so I can't tell what's vegan (even though they are tagged as vegan so must have at least some dishes that are) so I've never ordered from there. Will try it in person at some point but they've lost my business on several occasions now when I wanted to order.

The Facebook link goes directly to their menu. It's working for me!

I'm sure a quick phone call would tell you?

We had another delicious meal from Monkatsu over the bank holiday weekend.

We had a prawn tempura between us as a starter. Yummy.

Then my partner had salmon teriyaki again because he enjoyed it so much the last time.

I had beef teriyaki and crispy boiled egg, which was absolutely delicious.

We had a takeaway this time. It came really beautifully presented, with all the little side bits separated, and substantial portions.

Neither of us knows anything about Japanese food - our only previous experience was back in the day from various branches of Wagamama (before it went downhill) and Fujiyama in Brixton. So we don't have anything much to compare Monkatsu with.

We wouldn't want to eat here all the time, purely because variety is the spice of life in food as in most things :)

But we are deffo going to work our way through the menu :)

And try the sake next time :)

I loved this place and visited many times and ordered from them using Deliveroo even more often. We went for a meal there this Wednesday. End of a busy and exhausting week, decided to order Deliveroo from them tonight.

The order took almost an hour and a half to arrive and when it did it was a main meal short. We called Monkatsu to complain only to be told it was Deliveroo?s fault in an extremely rude and combative manner.

Our delivery bag was sealed and the receipt on it had the correct number of items. What a massive disappointment - I can never see myself visiting it ordering from there again

I would go in and speak to them about this as I feel that after one negative experience it isn't really fair to damn them on a public forum, as a small local business damnation on a public platform can be very damaging.

I agree that the rude and combative manner in which your phone query was responded to was not acceptable however it may have been a hideously busy evening, they may have been understaffed etc... I think you should pop in, no doubt as a regular you will be recognised and complain face to face, if you get no joy by means of suitable apology or discounted meal fair enough. don't go there again.

    • @Earl, Be assured, it is purely a local group. In fact it is a genteel group of Dulwich area residents, mostly ladies , who are a little  reluctant to publish their individual names as they do not wish to be targets for hostility from internet trolls. Local residents who attended the anti-LTN gatherings in Dulwich would have easily recognised the active members of the group. Should you have any queries about funding, it is quite easy to send them an email.
    • Hi  I have a spare old wheelbarrow that you could have for free. You’d need to come and collect it from Telegraph Hill, so drop me a message if you’re still looking and we can arrange a time best wishes carrie
    • This is quite a serious allegation. What evidence is there of this? Pressured how and by whom? This is quite a spin on ‘it’s been agreed with the emergency services’. They think the vehicles pictured driving through with partially covered plates are the result of ‘poor signage’ 🤔  If it is as they say ‘small numbers’ driving through the square, that doesn’t suggest that the signage is unclear. I mean who honestly believes it’s possible to drive through there without noticing the signs / planters (assuming you’re driving with due care and attention)?! 🤨  Also, haven’t ‘One’ opposed any improvements to the layout / landscaping and signage proposed by Southwark? It’s all a bit desperate. At the height of the LTN ‘controversy’ a number of co-ordinated ‘One’ groups popped up across London. It doesn’t feel like a local grassroots movement, but has all the hallmarks of astroturfing. The lack of transparency about it’s funding / sponsorship and structure does not help with this impression.
    • Hi there, My children and I are adopting 4 ex-battery hens and seeking a secondhand home for them, let me know if you have anything, of any style that might fit four feathered ladies in. I can collect at your convenience this weekend or during the week.    Warmest, Hannah
