Jonathan Meades' Fowler Family Business is a rather enjoyable little novel. Set in Forest Hill dontcha know.

Watching last night I couldn't help but feel his normally droll delivery only really comes alive when he's speaking in French. He goes from Gilbert and George clone to animated man of passion. Or is that just what Englishmen do when threading their tongue around the Gallic lexicon?
