Why does Fusion insist on the 1:1. Its definately annoying. What facts/evidence do they use to back this up. We should do something. I have 2 children and I cannot take them swimming alone dispite the fact that one of them is prety confident in water. I don't want to go hunting around pools I want to use my local pool!!!!!

Ours are a bit older 1, 4 and 6, but at the Fusion desk they clearly didn't think that was a problem, although in their literature they state 1:1 until 7, I think.

Have you actually just turned up and tried? Though I can see that it would be exceptionally boring to be turned away...

Deptford are strict on ratios. Have been told by them we'd need 3 adults to take our 3 there (aged 7,3,1)

But we take all 3 to dulwich no problem and called to check the first time and they said it was fine. Maybe as one of them is over 5?

Was also told at beckenham that 2:1 was fine as long as any non swimmers under5 had sone kind of flotation device on.

    • I do worry English people are focusing on “the flag” and their own wistful nostalgia (how very English) rather than what’s happening with the flag in 2025 stop analysing it as the mere national flag and have a look at it for what it is - the useful tool of intimidation by some extremely dodgy people (see also the Irish tricolour when the IRA were active) defeat the problem, then you can reclaim the flag  pretending there is no problem whilst saying “it’s just a flag” is just…. Sigh

    • If the product states that it's not suitable for anyone under the age of 18 on the package, were you not given a warning by the brand itself? Why would any advice provided by H&B assistants override that?
