Would you be interested in taking your baby / toddler / young child to informal classical concerts, designed specifically for parent / carer and children?

Concerts like this take place all over london, and charge from ?8-10 for a 45 min concert, and refreshments.

If these concerts took place once a month, would this be something you would be interested in taking your little ones to, and would this be a suitable price per concert.

All concerts would be given by highly experienced classical musicians, and presented well to appeal to all ages attending the concerts.

Please give any feed back.

Thank you.

Yes, i have seen about the ones which take place once a month in Dulwich Village, and would made sure I didn't clash with that. There will be people who can't get to those, but in any case, I would try to make sure that they dove tailed in with each other.

i am glad that responses have been positive so far. it gives me encouragement. I'll let you all know.

I would certainly be interested in classical concrete which are toddler friendly. I have attended the Classics with my Baby concerts since they began in Dulwich, but I find them less suitable the older my son gets. He is an inquisitive, active toddler who would benefit from more interactive concerts. I appreciate that such a concert would most probably be more difficult to organise and run, but incredibly rewarding - I feel bad having to stop my son from joining in and playing the piano for example!

Friday mornings or weekends work for us.

Hi there - great to see so much interest in classical concerts for babies and toddlers!

This is why Miaomiao and I set up the classical concert series, Classics with my Baby. As mums we firmly believe in the benefits of exposure to music and have seen our own sons thriving on our endless practice and concert performances!! We want other children to have the opportunity to hear and see the instruments close up.

We were delighted to read this rave review of our concerts from Gramophone magazine, one of the top music magazines in the world.

Have a look at our videos and photos on our website to see the different ways our audience of all ages enjoys the music.

Some of our recent feedback:

Best thing we've done in a while @classicswmbaby. Beautiful music & lots of space for wandering kiddiwinks. Recommend.

~ Leah Willams Veazey

I had so much fun!

~ Ethan, age 3

A concert where my children can dance and move to the music as well as see all the instruments without being hushed! Dream come true!

~ Sylvia Chan, mother of 2

Enjoy lots of music with your children!

    • I’d like to recommend local plumber - James at Trelco Plumbing. I’ve used them twice now, for a kitchen tap replacement and a boiler repair. Both times they were able to attend at short notice, arrived on time and we are very happy with the work they have done. James is polite, responsive and easy to deal with. • Deptford Green and Elm Green anecdotally have a more realistic and compassionate to kids differing needs. Whether that is still the case i'm not sure. Having 3 boys at Charter i would seriously consider a boys school if you have them, Charter East really aren't geared up for the different educational needs of some boys and the challenging behaviour this frustration leads to. I have heard amazing things about St Thomas the Apostle boys school.
    • Thanks everyone for the great recommendations! I wouldn't normally go for vegan restaurants, but I've been to En Root and really liked it. Fresh and tasty.  The Ritzy Cinema in Brixton also sell their food, to eat in their cafe before or after a film (I don't think they sell the whole menu that you'd find in Peckham, but there is a good choice)
