Hello all!

After hearing lots of great things about the area, my husband and I are finally making the move this weekend to East Dulwich/Peckham Rye. It would be great to meet people in our new neighborhood since we'll be leaving most of our friends behind north of the river. So if there's a get-together happening in October, we'd love to come along. And if anyone would like to meet up for a quick coffee or pint in the meantime, just get in touch!

Ah, unfortunately I can't make it on the 26th (going to a Labrynth costume ball and film night for a friend's birthday), though my partner might be able stop by - I'll give him the details. Definitely up for the November meetup though. Putting the 16th in my diary now!

I'm new to this too, and really excited to meet some new people! I'm away (becoming a first-time Godmother - yay!) on the 16th but would love to come along on the 26th if it's still going ahead?

Will keep my eyes peeled for further details. Amy :)

Hi all

I have a table booked at the EDT at 8pm - under Sara-Jane/ ED forum. It should be in the front room (tables by the window) but if not just ask and you will find us. I am short with dark blond curly hair!

Charmani, Amy and Vicky, please do come along as first timers. Don't be shy, we were all first timers once, and it's a great way to make new friends.

See you there!

    • Well I did say I stand to be corrected! Fair enough, their website only seemed to list three branches. Perhaps it's a franchise model?  It's known as 'agglomeration' in economics Rookie error.
    • I didn't know there was a word for that — thanks!
    • This is just normal business behaviour. That's why there are so many coffee shops in ED and shops selling gifts and interiors stuff, clothes, restaurants.  If there's more than one business of a similar type then it can benefit all of them up to a saturation point and keep up quality. It's all sounding like many think Chango has made a malicious move when it actually sounds like it's owned by one guy who has a good business that has done well.   Anyway this is all great advertising for both empanada places. Very close by is the organic grocer who sells really good value and very tasty samosas and other Indian snacks which are also worth trying.
    • Hello, Does this lovely little panther have a name? & Is he neutered & microchipped?
