Hi,

I have just changed from my beloved Mountain bike to another bike that fits my body shape. This is a mountain bike that the serious mountain bikers called "entry level".

Bought by my wife in 2003, it has been lovingly used and serviced throughout its life. Its not the best looker any more but should prove to provide many more years service to the new owner. Most components have been replaced at least once. If it hasn't been replaced, its got signs of surface rust (except the chain that was replaced about 3 years ago). The way I see it, the surface rust means its less likely to be nicked. Needs a new saddle, or does it?

Everything important still works extremely well including excellent brakes, gears that never slip and just work (Deore), bottom bracket and headset has no play in it, loads of life in the wheels and tyres, suspension good.

Why am I selling - as this was my wife's bike, its always been a bit small for me. My commute is about to extend from 30 mins to 45 mins each way so I have bought a bigger bike (with worse gears).

Size - Standover is about 28 inch inside leg. I am 29inch and standover was fine. Total height of rider - shorter than my 5 ft 10in. Probably about 5 ft 4 to 5 ft 8.

    • The staff in there told me about today. They don’t anything official written up.  please feel to email them inquiring about the issue and or complain.  [email protected] I for one was really looking forward to seeing some films in the coming months.
    • I was about to post the very same thing!   Good points, and I wonder how  these issues are resolved in the skate park in Peckham Rye park? The park has closing times when the gates are supposed to be locked, but in practice they don't always seem to be locked when they should be. I don't know why - possibly staff absence? There is also a skate park on the South Bank - I wonder how  the insurance and/or safety issues are addressed here. Presumably the place is open for skating 24/7,  as there wouldn't seem to be any way to close it?
    • You could contact Celia Hammond who could provide you with advice and a suitable trap for him.  He could be a stray.
    • For sure!  It's seems like he is injecting Trump with steroids. Trump has got even  more deranged ever since Vance became VP. Having read Hillbilly Elegy, I came to see where his insular , isolationist slant came from. But he's very bright , having graduated from Yale, but he is a dangerous individual with tunnel vision. He could be "the first" - that is the first  VP to be assassinated.  As for Trump, he can only face a rising tide of hostility from sacked government employees and mid-west farmers whose produce is subject to retaliatory import duties by China . Watch this space.
