as great as Tayyabs there is a new place which is just around the corner. Its called Needoo and it has basically the same menu as its their old head-chef started the place up. And its just a little bit better and a bit easier to get into too!

Saying that - I still go to Tayyabs nearly every month!

I had a stay in the Royal London last summer and my girlfriend brought me up their chicken tikka and lamb keenma every day!

Funnily enough I will already be at Tayyabs on Wednesday night with some mates.

I may come over and say hello though. Do you have have some kind of secret code thing...?

The only thing I've found with the bookings is that you make a reservation and sometimes when its very busy you get there and they've given your table to some of the queuing masses. Does make the whole experience more exciting though.

I went there today actually for lunch. Had a lamb kebab.

Really sorry but have just realised I've double booked myself and am heading out for sushi on Wednesday night so can't come now :(

Any chance we might be able to re-schedule as there seem to be a few others that might be interested in coming along but can't make Weds either?

    • If it was limited to a couple of days a year, so we all knew, that would be fine. In the last few years (and it is a recent thing) you get random fireworks going off any time after dusk for half the year. It does more than cause problems for pets and wildlife- it can mean lasting damage and massive expense and hassle for pet owners. All because some get a buzz out of loud bangs.
    • Ohh dear.  Fireworks can be great fun.  Where I used to live the kids would have firework wars/games.  Watching them was more enjoyable than watching  TV. (Which you could hardly hear due to the pops and bangs).  It's not like anyone/anything could stop them. I would still prefer organised public displays that are affordable.   And I agree that fireworks cause problems for wild life, pets and people.   It seems to be one of those things that just happens so we have to put up with it.  But it is still not as problematic here as in other areas in London - that's for sure.
    • I made sure to set off a few today just to rile you guys up 😇😂 Always looking for something to criticise
