  1. It's terrible - especially for the vulnerable
  2. Just had a bloke banging on my window at 11.30 oakhurst grove - similar story. Scammers!
  3. Beware folks - just had a guy step up onto my window sill to look into my living room then knocking on my window. He looked like a painter and decorator guy as he had paint all in his clothes - he then gives me a story that he lives 2 doors away but his car has been towed etc etc, I said no and closed the window as I know my neighbours and it wasn't him. Dodgy. Oakhurst grove. Beware.
  4. I've just seen a dark staffy type dog running up Oakhurst grove with its lead attached. No one around nearby so I'm guessing the dog may have been lost... Just an FYI if it's your dog.
  5. Exosions were on oakhurst grove
  6. I saw the second explosion - fireman just been telling residents that it's going to be a good few hours before they can attempt to fix the fault as they are waiting for a part/cable. Lots of people have no power or water on oakhurst.
  7. It's on oakhurst grove opposite my house - lots of police and fire engines. No idea what happened but there was some kind of explosion a little while ago.
  8. Yes me - we have police and fire engines outside, not quite sure what's happened but a lot of people don't have any power.
  9. Ah! Lol blame it on being early on a Sunday morning :)
  10. Please get in touch as I have some important post for you. Thanks
  11. Here's my twopence - I've been on many ghost hunts, seen a ghost (only once), played ouija board, been in a seance, seen a psychic and seen some weird shit on some of the ghost hunts. I do believe in ghosts, but that's my personal opinion. Are they real or not? I have no idea, hence why I go on these hunts.
  12. name and shame with pics gets my vote! If you don't let your dogs take a dump and not bother picking it up then you have nothing to worry about.
  13. I called Daniel on Friday and he said he would come about 5pm as we had no hot water. He never came. He then contacted me and said he would come Saturday - he never came and didn't bother to let me know. Yeah thanks for that. Won't be using or trying to use him again.
  14. That's good news! Probably lots of them due to the dog.
  15. There were quite a few police cars and an ambulance or two all surrounding a man that was laying on the grass with a dog standing guard over him. There seemed to be lots of police as they were trying to get the dog to move and allow them to get to the chap on the floor. Anyone know if he was ok?
  16. Dartford Big Lakes is where I tend to go...
  17. I contacted the local support officer chap - [email protected] - very nice guy, he advised that we call 101 for anything non-emergency. I have used the service and they were very prompt in repsonding - there were the same kids outside my house throwing fireworks. I've most definately noticed a lot more police cars with lights going, down our street - too many kids hanging in little groups for my liking.
  18. Thanks for responding, Slims. Not many would. And thanks for your apology. As already said, situations can seem/come accross as being very different from different people. I have not mentioned anything about colour , just that the recent change in behaviour is doing my head in. The mopeds whizzing up and down my road at all hours are not fun to listen too and nor are the cars that park outside my house about midnight, with their music bass vibrating my windows - not your fault I know, but these are some of the recent issues I have been experiencing amongst others. Next time I will definately pop over to say hello....and good for you for working with the local kids. As a side note, maybe put your dog a lead as not all are dog lovers - I am as I have a dog, but there are some that get quite scared and I would definately not like my child around a dog that is off the lead and that I don't know...this would also help with people feeling that they could pop over to chat rather than being put off/a tad scared because of a dog.
  19. Thanks for the tip :) rahrahrah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm sorry you've had these issues. 20. Hello fellow EDers, I felt like a little rant about the ferral tenants that seem to have recently moved into Greenview Court. Over the past few months I have had the pleasure of putting up with regular anti social behaviour in a street that has over the past three years, been relatively quiet. Such as today with groups of kids/teenagers running up and down my street screaming, an adult male 'setting' his dog on one of these kids, rubbish being thrown all over the floor where this little gang have been hanging out, one of the tenants standing at their window and using ear buds to clear their ears and then throwing said earbud out of e window onto the floor below. Lovely. All this down my lovely, quiet street is doing my head in. This and the poxy scooters flying up and down mŷ road and the toss pot idiots that think it's ok to pull up outside someone's house late at night, with their music and bass vibrating through to my house windows whilst they have a little chat with their mates - does not fill me with glee. I love my little flat and I love the area I live in, but these people are seriously making me consider moving. I don't much like walking down my street with rubbish everywhere, gangs of teenagers hanging out, crazed dogs off their lead and viciously trying to get at someone whilst the owner encourages it, watching people throw rubbish out of their own home window onto the street, mopeds quizzing up and down at all hours....is there anywhere to go that will do anything about it? Has anyone else out there noticed the change over the past few months?? And breathe.
  21. Duuuuudes - we were there!!! We were by the sofas that are opposite the pool table... I was there from 7.40!! Next time I will describe what I'm wearing or something and post it on here. @ maxxi - strawbs wasn't there so no bump could be used as a beacon :/ For those that were there and found us, thank you - I had a really good evening and laughed a lot!!! :D
