Seven attendees met at the Draft House which was very welcoming with free tasters of Belgian beers being circulated. The Draft House is a positive addition to the Lane.

The main course at Veer Zara was I think for some a little disappointing. I will let others make their own comments if they wish. Still, the starters were good, service friendly and free glasses of port given at the end of the meal.

?20 each for a fun evening.

Next meeting on Monday 20 August at Indian Mischief.

  • 2 weeks later...

You know the way the rota works - every month a different day in sequential order, Monday to Thursday and back again. This is to ensure that people can plan their diaries and allows those with standing commitments on a particular day of the week to come to most if not all meetings....

and besides, I am then holiday for two weeks, so, tough :)

    • If it was limited to a couple of days a year, so we all knew, that would be fine. In the last few years (and it is a recent thing) you get random fireworks going off any time after dusk for half the year. It does more than cause problems for pets and wildlife- it can mean lasting damage and massive expense and hassle for pet owners. All because some get a buzz out of loud bangs.
