A great evening and the Dulwich Tandoori outdid themselves. Well done to them.


Mick Mac did go a little shiny has he tucked into Foxy's Vindaloo and Foxy was complaining that his Vindaloo was rather mild, which it would be as it was Mick Mac's Madras. As they were sat opposite each other, you would have thought that the penny would have dropped a little earlier than it did.


12 of us, two brand new people who seemed to have a good time. Great to meet you.


I came away with a free bottle of Tiger beer. Yes, I can be bribed.


I too am on hols in early September. If anybody else would like to organise a September meet, please do so. Otherwise see you again on the first Thursday of October.


Curry Cabin? I have heard good reports from there lately.

Seeing as the Radiant Bhuna of the Diamond Naga (1st class) is currently on holiday I'll answer for him (hoping he doesn't mind). It is open to anyone and everyone who wants to go, not that I've ever been but a lot of people seem to enjoy it. There currently isn't one booked for September but you can always check back on here to see if someone else picks up the baton for this month and you'll certainly be welcomed at any future Curry Club event.

Hello all! Greetings from the slopes of Mount St Helens. No curry opportunities around here but some damn fine grilled meat. The Yakima Valley wine is jolly good too.


Back up to Vancouver on Wednesday, should get a curry then and some whale watching and shopping, its a 2:1 exchange rate , it would be rude not to.

You don't need to join.. its open to all..


Next Curry Club. is Thursday 1st October.


We will be meeting at Franklins at 19.00ish for pre meal drink then off to the Curry Cabin to eat at 20.00ish


Just indicate if you are coming and how many of you and Michael P. will know how many to book for..

      It's not far from Lordship Lane if you cut down Ashbourne Grove/Melbourne Grove. Depends where you start from, I guess!

      I doubt if it was something special - it has been full a few times I've been recently and when I have been able to get a space I've been lucky and bagged the only one available. I think there are only around 15 general spaces. Others are for staff, blue badge holders or EVs. I guess in winter people are more likely to drive, it wouldn't take much to fill all the spaces with the different things going on at the surgery/pharmacy such as blood tests, picking up prescriptions. It's possible a lot of the cars are in and out in 15 mins, i've not monitored it closely. This morning with all spaces filled when I arrived there were a couple of cars loitering in the hope of a space becoming available. I didn't want to risk it. As has been said, you can drive in and out and be caught on camera and not get a ticket but I'm not sure what the grace period is, if there is one.  Like you, I don't think a significant number of people are parking there to go shopping - it's too far from Lordship Lane as I found out this morning when i had to run from LL to Tessa Jowell! i guess the car parking spaces just can't cope with the number of legit drivers using Tessa Jowell and if that's the case not a lot can be done about it.

      I go there quite regularly (don't ask), on my own behalf and as a chauffeur for family. I have never noted people parking up, going in and then straight out again once registered. Some times of day (and some days) are much busier than others, as you might expect, especially during winter vaccination season.
