Thanks for you patience with us whilst we resumed normal service. There probably will be a few oddities here and there but they maybe cache related to your browser, if things are going wrong please clear your cache first http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache


I have to say a big thank you to the guys at Heart Internet where the server change happened, they've done a fantastic job. If you ever need web hosting please consider using them.


And an overdue and massive thanks to the moderators who help run this forum, you do a great job and it's really appreciated.

The " - East Dulwich Forum" is me, not you, well something on the server needs a re-configure but I'll get round to fixing it one day.


Should anyone want to show their appreciation for the forum please do feel free to donate towards it.

I find it odd how some have mentioned it is faster? Makes me wonder what on earth you are using lol. I have never had issues with the 'speed' on the forum & it hasn't made any difference at all, only thing now is that randomly I get a lot of blank space on the page I go to, a few others have mentioned this too, & I have to pull the page down with the scroll to take me to the top of the page. Something is definitely not right.

lol, oh dear::o I didn't think dial up still existed let alone it be in use.

All I can say is, to anyone out there still on 'dial up', please do yourselves

a massive favour & get broadband now! You will never look back I promise you. You will

be saving tons of money that you are now paying for crap dial up service & you will have a

fast speed & reliable connection unlike anything you have got with dial up.

      Saw this today about Southwark voting in support of a tourist tax in the borough  BBC News - Tourist tax visitor levy comes closer in Southwark https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c5ypvw0qln7o Makes me wonder what else they can find to tax, maybe a fine for breaking wind, or breathing or even a tax on windows. Of course I am being facetious but it does feel like if it moves, they will tax it.

      Politicians particularly so....remember it's always party before people! I doubt McAsh will be in cabinet much longer...he might find even more attempts to kneecap his political career. I wonder if he might have to move to another area and restart - he obviously has political ambition but it seems Southwark is not going to be where it blossoms anymore - unless he can manage some sort of coup.

      Hi Sue, they were not local solicitors. Andrea’s was based in Wales and the other firms involved were large nationwide conveyancing companies (rather than conventional high street solicitors). I’m happy to advise clients and buyers privately on what I believe to be their shortcomings but I don’t think doing so in public on the forum would be appropriate, particularly as they are not locally based. My general advice would always be to steer clear of the big conveyancing companies as they are, in my experience, notoriously difficult to contact when the need arises and the case handler is often not a fully qualified solicitor and so issues have to be referred upwards to “technical teams” internally, which was part of the problem in Andrea’s chain.
