maxxi
Anyone who saw the start of the birds of prey display at Dulwich Park festival last Sunday will remember the first two birds that the old-chap-in-charge put up, a kind of Falcon and a Harris Hawk I think, having a run in with a couple of crows. "They could see off those two crows any time they liked" asserted our Falconer - but to the untutored eye the crows seemed to be giving as good as they got if not better.Always liked crows, and magpies (though if I see a singleton I still salute it - about the only superstition I can't shed...) Like a mistle thrush, a crow will attack anything, regardless of size, in order to protect its young - this is not the same thing. "But gamekeepers want protection of Britain's largest species of crow to be removed completely"vermin indeed. So you rush down onto the street and then what ?Oh yeah, kill the thing with your bare hands, or whack it with a shovel. In a busy-urban-environment Possibly within minutes this lot SO19 will turn up & shoot you, or if you're lucky taser you to near death. For a cat & a crow ?:-S Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23606-crows/page/2/#findComment-547402 Share on other sites

BrandNewGuy
Probably not, as farting requires an anal sphincter. An avian cloaca does have a circular muscle, but not a sphincter, so any internal gas would simply leak out when produced rather than be expelled rapidly in fartian bursts.Hope that helps ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23606-crows/page/2/#findComment-547430 Share on other sites

Alan Medic
If you really want to understand crows read 'The Truth about Crows' by Robin Hasben. Amazing story about how he was a crow in a previous lifetime and gives an insight into how a crow thinks, like no other so called expert.
