It seems that the 'repair' that they spent a week working on at the mini roundabout by Goodrich School lasted less than 24 hours before there was water coming up through the newly laid tarmac. You'd think they'd do some form of testing before closing it back up: Is it wet? If so then it's probably not fixed!

There was water coming through again (and an alarming bulge had appeared on the roundabout) as a bloke was packing up the temporary lights to take them away. Presumably he was an employee of the traffic light suppliers not the water company but the ridiculousness did make me smile.

We're between Goodrich and Underhill and our supply's been fine.

    • Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa. So for the third time, will you now eat humble pie?
