Salsaboy
I've never trusted them. Always looked a bit shifty to me. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23715-bstard-pears/#findComment-548670 Share on other sites

RosieH
Mmm, tinned pears with chocolate sauce. Nice one Help-Ma.And Salsaboy, you're so right. Even now, in spite of knowing that it's rock solid and so bitter it will give you a poorly tummy, it looks golden and plump and enticing, and I'm almost tempted to try again in case the other side's better. The other side is not better. Conference pears are not so mendacious. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23715-bstard-pears/#findComment-548678 Share on other sites

giggirl
So sorry Rosie.Eddie Izzard....Pears can just f*u*ck off too. 'Cause they're gorgeous little beasts, but they're ripe for half an hour, and you're never there. They're like a rock or they're mush. In the supermarket, people banging in nails. "I'll just put these shelves up, mate, then you can have the pear." ? So you think, "I'll take them home and they'll ripen up." But you put them in the bowl at home, and they sit there, going, "No! No! Don't ripen yet, don't ripen yet. Wait til he goes out the room! Ripen! Now now now!" RosieH
Damn, too slow. The "me too" was in response to having a thing for Eddies. But yes, I'm with you ladies. Did I tell you he sat on my desk once? I nearly fell on the floor. I didn't speak to him, obviously. RosieH
I was overcome. He was talking to someone else and perched on my desk. I simply gazed up, mute, hyperventilating, in wonder and adoration. maxxi
There are some very large apples (can't remember the name) in Pretty's atm with quite a pear-like taste and texture - by which I mean sweet not sharp and with a porous rather than a tight texture - my OH is a pear fanatic and she loved 'em. Stop there and look across right. There's a place across the way, with darkwood windows and about 10 or so small tables. That's the utterly-delicious-ribs-place (where I broke said tooth), I think they're Columbian/Brazilian, maybe Friggin lovely it is thoughNetts(tu)(inset toothless smile here)P.s. it might be called Elsantafereno Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23715-bstard-pears/#findComment-548758 Share on other sites

Brendan
No, no I'm sure the cocktail is a slippery nipple. Altough what would I know I've always been more of an imperial leather man myself.
