As part of the South London Press's revamp, from Friday, the SLP will print a Dulwich only edition of the paper, just like the Southwark News. This will join 6 other new hyperlocal editions of the paper for Deptford & New Cross, Brixton, Streatham, Wimbledon, Forest Hill & Sydenham and Wandsworth.

However, if you buy the SLP in Peckham or Camberwell, the normal pan borough paper will still be published.

What on earth is that all about- the SLP does not want to offend the sensibilities of Dulwich residents with all the horrific stories and mug shots of vile criminals in surrounding areas? Well, here's one customer it has lost- we only get it for the Millwall reports

:))

There was no mention in the reduction of sport content, so I think all these hyperlocal editions will cover all the South London clubs from AFC Wimbledon to Charlton Athletic.

In any case, I don't think the Dulwich SLP won't have any news from the rest of South London, it'll simply go to the middle of the paper as the Southwark News already does.

    • Please be aware that there is a huge sheet of ice approx 12ft x 6ft on the road at the top end of Avondale Rise on the left hand side approaching Ivanhoe Road.  The council was told earlier this morning, but advised that, due to a reduced service, it is unlikely that grit /salt will be spread before Monday!  Several (thankfully minor) accidents have happened since this morning.  A resident has thoughtfully erected a temporary sign to advise traffic of the hazard, but bearing in mind that temperatures are due to fall to -4 over the weekend and this is on a bus route, please be very careful if driving on this road.
    • Paul was great for us - came round at an ungodly hour of the day at short notice to fix a problem. Very nice bloke too
