Brilliant - as soon as I can I'm going up there and looking for my house - we'e watched the Shard grow floor by floor over the last three years.

How much does it cost to go up there, and when is it open? Anyone know?

Hadn't been to London Bridge for a while, so when I saw the shard from platform 4 the other day, I was well impressed. I think it's a great building.

It's been thrilling hasn't it MM. And watching 20 fenchurch Street going up is interesting too. But nothing beats the Shard. Well, 'cept the one in Moscow that's just inched/centimeter'd itself slightly higher!

The Shard opens formally next week 5th July. Light & laser show that evening - which for those in the right spot should make a good show. Lower floors will be open for office use, higher floors including viewing gallery, restaurants and hotel open early next year. Will be possible to book viewing gallery via Shard website from Friday 6 Jul.
