Helen GV
You might be able to find a brake on eBay, or if someone on here has a broken chassis you could take one off that and put it on yours? It was a bit of a faf but I managed it , perhaps just take a picture of how it's supposed to look before you take everything apart. Saffron
I've heard of people having these repaired at cycle shops. The brake system on Cameleon is similar to bicycle brakes. Explain to the shop that it's not under warrenty, otherwise they won't want to touch it for fear of invalidating your warrenty. Also, ring Bugaboo distributors (even though you didn't buy yours new) and ask about repairs. You'd obviously have to pay for the repair, but there shouldn't be any reason for them to refuse you the repair service. dulwichgirl2
Is it my imagination or does this happen too frequently to Bugaboos? People seem often to have this issue on the forum. Saffron
My impression has been that when brakes on other prams are damaged, people either throw the whole thing away b/c it was cheap, or it's easier to find places to repair other styles of brakes. ...although that's purely anecdotal. Helen GV
I took mine to a bike shop but the brake has a round bit on the end ( both ends, from memory) and a bike brake has the round bit on one end only. They did say they would fit it for me if I could get my hands on a bugaboo brake though.Lots of them break at the place where the chassis folds, rather than the brake, so you might be lucky if you appeal on here or check eBay gumtree Craig's list preloved etc... Fmm
This happened to me. I bought a new brake through Buggy Pit Stop. Mothercare in Lewisham said they can order one in and fit it too (I just called them in advance to check the bloke who worked there who could fit it was there that day). I actually ended up getting it fitted by Buggy Pit Stop in St Albans as co-incidentally I was going there to see a friend anyway. mrs f
BC bikes are able to fix them, I've had a chat to the guys in there about mine, they fix a lot apparently! They were saying though that Buguaboo will try and sell you a whole new chassis if you try and get it fixed through them... PaulPillre
Last week the brake was broken and my husband bought a new brake in ebay and it was so easy to change. He found many brake's sellers and he bought to the cheaper one. I leave the link where he bought it if you can help.http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=bugaboo+cameleon+brake&LH_PrefLoc=2&_sop=15 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24122-help-i-broke-my-bugaboo-cameleon/#findComment-616021 Share on other sites
