You might be able to find a brake on eBay, or if someone on here has a broken chassis you could take one off that and put it on yours? It was a bit of a faf but I managed it , perhaps just take a picture of how it's supposed to look before you take everything apart.

I've heard of people having these repaired at cycle shops. The brake system on Cameleon is similar to bicycle brakes. Explain to the shop that it's not under warrenty, otherwise they won't want to touch it for fear of invalidating your warrenty.

Also, ring Bugaboo distributors (even though you didn't buy yours new) and ask about repairs. You'd obviously have to pay for the repair, but there shouldn't be any reason for them to refuse you the repair service.

I took mine to a bike shop but the brake has a round bit on the end ( both ends, from memory) and a bike brake has the round bit on one end only.

They did say they would fit it for me if I could get my hands on a bugaboo brake though.

Lots of them break at the place where the chassis folds, rather than the brake, so you might be lucky if you appeal on here or check eBay gumtree Craig's list preloved etc...

This happened to me. I bought a new brake through Buggy Pit Stop. Mothercare in Lewisham said they can order one in and fit it too (I just called them in advance to check the bloke who worked there who could fit it was there that day). I actually ended up getting it fitted by Buggy Pit Stop in St Albans as co-incidentally I was going there to see a friend anyway.

Last week the brake was broken and my husband bought a new brake in ebay and it was so easy to change. He found many brake's sellers and he bought to the cheaper one. I leave the link where he bought it if you can help.

    • I would say that about one in four of our recent trips to Sainsburys Dog Kennel Hill have included a visit to customer services to get a refund for an item which, when self scanned has a higher cost than the shelf label price. I always take a photo of the shelf label. Never yet scanned an item that comes up with a lower cost than the label. I am sure that the shop must be breaking the law but I haven't tried to check or take the matter further as yet.
    • Yes. Hundreds of them, judging by the Photinias I see everywhere I go 🤮 I don't notice them until the horrid (imo) red leaves start appearing! Irrational, as I said. I can't bear privet either. I hate the smell of its flowers 🤮 Anyway, please go back to discussing fallen leaves. Sorry, admin. Other things have colour! Camellias have lovely flowers in the gloomy season!
    • Temi has just completed an awkward job covering up serious stains from a dilapidated valley roof (now renewed) She worked carefully and produced an excellent result - a pristine ceiling. Highly recommended.
    • Nothing wrong with a bit of springtime colour after a dull grey winter, I like a Red Robin too!
