Cheapest flights to Oz in September

I've had a look and they seem to be ?1,000+ from London. Can anyone suggest a better option like flying from somewhere else other than London and then to Brisbane to reduce the cost? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried Austravel - they often have exclusive deals.

But whatever you do, stay away from Flight Centre. Utterly hopeless and just the worst customer service.

?1000+ seems to be fairly standard for flying ti Australia these days but it may be worth looking at Air Asia - a low cost airline operating from Malaysia. My father in law flew with them and was quite impressed.

Just had a peak - looks like they've stopped doing the Malaysia -Uk flights. May be worth using them for the second leg of your journey though.

Korean Air worked for me. Massively long stop over on the way back, 20 hours or so, but just ask for a hotel in Seoul and not the airport and treat it as a freebie extra.

Seoul is the cheapest route to the colonies these days, but as you mentioned, it can be a killer time wise.

Try looking at 'skyscanner.net'

Assuming you're flexible, click on the 'flexible' option, then 'whole month' and it graphs out the cheapest / average prices by day.

I've just had a quick look and you could do it for around ?760 return depending on your dates.

I've used it quite a lot and ended up on airlines I'd not heard of, but they've been absolutely fine.
