A conciliatory meeting is designed to bring the applicant and those opposed together, to inform of and discuss the application. Sometimes for example, the applicant can mitigate any fears and similarly sometimes those opposing can make the applicant aware of impacts they hadn't considered. It's not however an attempt to shorten the application hearing. The committee at the hearing will not be at the conciliatory meeting, so all objections will still be heard in full at the hearing.

The conciliation meeting is crucial.

If few turn up then the applicant can say people arnt really bothered.

Beign in the middle of August doesnt help.

If you support or object to this application do anything you can to turn-up - bring kids if necessary.

Officers will report on attendance and that will influence, inteitonally or not, the councillors who sit on the sub-committee who will decide.

I was there last night... Thursday..

There was Live Music.

Only 12 people in the bar and a few outside..

Are people staying clear at the mo. ??

Interesting the Music was Stopped at 22.30

P.S.

Seems to of had a Price Hike.. ?4.60 pint of Moretti.

Foxy.

My cousin and I had a quick drink there last night about 9pm. Stayed outside so as to be as far from the jazz as possible.

I don't think it's a pub that is ever going to be packed on a week night, I see them making their money through food mainly at the weekends.

?4.60 for a pint is just wrong!

I emailed Dorcas at the council who said that anyone can attend, but only those who have opposed the application will be allowed to have their say. Others can listen in. I have opposed, but am yet to receive an invitation though......

The problem with pub, as well as ALL pubs in Dulwich, is that it?s just the same as the rest. No joke my missus was in the GE as some wanker changed his kids nappy ON THE TABLE. No joke either.

What a shit pub.

Absolutely ZERO personality, a proper dump, just like the Bishop, Actress, Clockhouse, Mag. They?re all pony. So many wanky happy people in there, all with at least 5 children each.

Longboy - to think you were 'proud' to be moving here 2 years ago...

    • My phone got stolen last night - is anyone selling a fairly recent iphone (iphone 13-15)? I need a new-ish one, but not brand new as I can't afford it! If anyone has anything, please do let me know!
    • Lost a set of keys at the east Dulwich grove townley intersection this morning around 8h15. They have a white square key ring.
    • Definitely a couple of swifts flying high above Fellbrigg Road occasionally this morning.
    • I just remember sticky labels rather than badges, but I didn't go to all of the drinks.  Floppy disk labels?! How old are they?! Are they still sticky?!   I think they were just sticky labels which people wrote their own names on? Or at least whatever name they were willing to divulge (though it's a bit odd if they didn't want to say what their forum names were, as I thought the whole point was to meet forum members in the flesh and put faces to forum names!) I know what you mean re cringe, but I don't remember faces/names, which obviously can appear very rude (I have recently discovered it's an actual thing which other people have too) so for people like me labels save embarrassment.
