it's all comfort feeding for the little ones isn't it?

And when you want to break them, then there's controlled crying mwah hah hah.

Though probably won't work so well when they're 6! You might want to stop with the comfort feed before that.

Aaanyway, I'm soaking a gammon right now. (that's not a euphemism btw)

I think AM was making a joke following the last two works of your post ("it sucks"). I thought it was funny.

Did they insist on talking to you while you drank it?

I'm wearing my Morrissey Christmas jumper. It's gone down less well in the office than anticipated. I feel a vague sense of disappointment.

Heh, they made it for themselves not for me. I just thought you should all know.

An ex-colleague from a previous workplace emails me from another division of my organisation (he's obviously just joined), he asks, "are you the same XXXXXXX XXXXXXXX that used to work at xxxxxxx ?".

With a name as unusual as mine I wonder why someone could comprehend the universe, let alone this planet, having more than one person with this darned name.

I email him back, confirming that no, I am not the person he is thinking of.

    • Incidentally, Southwark seems to have possibly adopted a requirement of swift boxes in new-builds anyway, and I think they're not the only LA to have done so. I recently added to to my post in https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/342208-free-swift-nest-box-installation-in-se22/#comment-1703954, the edit:- [ 30/4/25, 18/6/25  ETA To answer my own question: I see that 4 swift nesting boxes were actually  required at an earlier stage of that same developments application.  In the 4/4/25 Decision Notice of  application 24/AP/3740 is: "8. The development shall be carried out in accordance with the swift bricks details approved under 24/AP/3596 unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority ]
    • Hi, I'm after some free moving boxes in good used/reusable condition. Large, Medium and small size and any packing spare materials you might want to pass on. Reduce, reuse, recycle. I'm not moving home for a few months, so if something comes up later on, please do DM me. I will keep this post open/active until found. Many thanks
    • Anyone know why temporary lights were put in on East Dulwich Grove on Sunday but as of 8am this morning no works are evident ? I imagine works are planned but have been delayed but the team putting in the lights have gone ahead anyway. 🙄 Just as well Alleyns and JAGS have finished...
    • A bit like Levi Bellfield. It's not a good look.
