"As every day of the Games is different, we will be sending you daily email travel alerts with advice about key hotspots to avoid the following day during the Olympic Games. Please plan ahead.

Here is your daily travel information update for tomorrow, Monday 30 July.

Tomorrow will be the busiest day of the Games at London Bridge; please avoid this station. If you are travelling to Kent, from platforms 1 - 6, you should avoid London Bridge National Rail station from 18:00 - 22:00 as it will be exit only. Southeastern and First Capital Connect customers are advised to board services from alternative stations such as Charing Cross, Cannon Street, Victoria or Blackfriars."

Yesterday evening was much quieter than normal, as was this morning (both nat rail and tube). Plenty of volunteers on hand telling bemused commuters which way to go.

TFL have successfully scared the commuters away - the whole thing has the hallmarks of a cunning false flag exercise - ie scare everyone whitless with stories of travel chaos so people take holiday or work from home so the transport system is empty, and all the foreign visitors who were fearful home pleasantly surprised.

    • These neighbours dislike trees period. They refused to have lost trees replaced by the Estate on our communal green. They don’t like the leaf and seed droppings. These make the grass look ‘messy’. Similarly, they don’t like my policy of leaving the tree leaves where they lie on the grass verge - hence chopping the overhanging branches. It’s like living in the 1950s. My neighbours have three gardeners with leaf blowers who come twice weekly to remove every leaf from their front lawns. Their grass is cut weekly and all the  cuttings put in multiple brown bins. It’s an outdated mindset of the moneyed classes in my view. But sadly, I’m very much in the minority.
