I have facebook and I am quite addicted.

Sorry, it keeps me amused when I am at work and the little one is napping and I take over my bosses apple mac and trace family in far off places and stalk old work mates and ex boyfriends.

Beside everyone likes to be a vampire!

fine I guess I wont b stalking any of you on it now then *sighs*

There was a time when it was fairly addictive but that really was when I was trying to relocate ppl and I have to say thanks to me a lot of other ppl who have lost touch have been reunited. It does get boring wiv all the apps and stuff VERY quickly tho :|

It's all part of a campaign to being less passive. I've also decided to text much less and to phone instead, even if I get an ansaphone. Also, I didn't have 72 friends at all. I had 72 people who I know at least somewhat, on a scale of pass in the office once a fortnight to sleep with on a daily basis. Sure, I've made contact with some people, but all I've done is exchange a couple of hastily typed paragraphs with them. I'm partly responsible for not taking it further, I know, but there's an awful lot of fakeness about Facebook (Fakebook, anyone?). Nero

Already have Nero! Came off Crackbook within two weeks of registering.

Apparently there is no way of deleting your records from Facebook though, you are just shown as having logged off and the moment, even months later, even if you check in you will find your account, as well as all your details will still be recorded on there, the only thing is then the minute you log back on a message is sent to all your contacts telling them you are back on line. Once you have signed up there is NO WAY of cancelling the account or taking your details off, it just goes into hibernation, so best to limit your personal and privacy settings to the minimum.
Sorry should have read the other posts properly, (guilty of jumping the gun) you already know can't be deactivated, sorry,if I'd only known that I would not have bothered, only wanted a look and had to open an account to do so, wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

    • hah ha! On the subject of dodgy keys and also police protocol with stolen cars, my first car was a 1969 mini which you could open and start by wiggling a small flat-headed screwdriver. No wonder it was stolen. About a week later the police called to say they'd spotted it on the Dog Kennel Hill estate opposite East Dulwich station. In those days parking was free so at least I didn't receive any tickets, but I surprised the police just left a message with the address and expected me to go and pick it up. I was slightly worried I'd have to tackle the culprits myself when I arrived.
    • Great pub, great deals and great service! Food is second to none Highly recommend 👌
    • This thread is brilliant! I am glad it has a happy ending. The reference to the Punto keys reminds of the days of when you could "jiggle a lock" with a similar car key and I speak from painful memory as a kid I managed to lock the keys in our car whilst on a camping holiday in Spain. My mum and dad didn't speak much Spanish and much hilarity ensued (post event) as they tried to communicate to the driver of a similar make and model of car as to why they had flagged him down and were trying to get him to lend him the key from his ignition!
    • I highly recommend my painter and decorator Sean. I have used him for over 25years. He is reliable and charges a reasonable price.  you can contact him on 07572 779608
