Completely wrong in my case. In one particular shop in Crouch End, the manager gave a talk about his current line up of jeans, why they were special in terms of fabric and manufacturing. He also played some great Soul music during the time. Just goes to show how people with great taste in music have great taste in clothes. I'm pretty certain ????s will confirm this.

I believe in self-empowerment and my comments on stylists were geared towards your self-empowerment.


I also fully agree with your comments on bullying and a group of people bigging themselves up on this forum thinking they have a god given right to be the forum's mouth piece. The other thread involved passive aggression towards me but at the same time they were exposed for being a group of people bigging themselves without having any particular skill, talent or knowledge themselves.

I can confirm this for you UDT. ???? dresses in the finest Italian suits with a high thread count and silk content. He knows too well that the mix of fibres should be sufficient to maintain the shape of the cut whilst cooling in summer and providing a subtle aesthetic/luxurious feel. But catch him on a Saturday and he looks like a man who's been dragged through a Las Vegas poker house via Sports Direct.


His taste in music is however always impeccable.

I am most definitely style challenged! But not really too bothered by the fact.


I don't think soul music's crap or pretentious though. I really like a lot of the northern soul stuff (not really a fan of disco or all that 70s club soul stuff though).

Different taste does not = superior.


A lot (not all) "commercial music" is commercial because it's good and a lot of people wanted to buy it and listen to it. Not all commercial music is produced by the likes of Simon Cowell.

Indeed and many of us learned a long time ago that if you buy your clothes at Asda you have a lot more money to spend on Genesis tapes.

Back on topic.


I'm pretty certain I will never go into some west end shops because they are playing really loud, crappy MTV muzak. It's supposed to entive people in but just has the opposite effect on me.


But that's because I'm that 35 year old guy still wandering around River Island gradually realising that I cant wear any of it any more (and should have quit at about 27). When you get older it gets much harder so most people (if they ever cared about clothes) just become boring and play it safe. A personal shopper sounds poncy but they can help with that and find stuff in places you wouldn't normally go and break you out of a rut.

      Miss Robson is the last of the old school independent vets. All the chains are have seriously hiked their prices over the last few years which now makes pet ownership only possible for the wealthy few. Even with pet insurance -( which often excludes items or has ‘deductibles’ ) it is just so much money. A visit with some medication is often £150 - £200. The vets themselves are excellent.

      Dawson Heights again  2 lifts out of order at ladlands block Christmas Eve so of course the 🛗 will not be repaired tomorrow Christmas Day or Boxing Day or when how do elderly or mothers with children and prams and food and presents get to the floors and with the 10 minutes you get to drop off  to park and not get a Pcn fine and delivery food to relatives who can’t leave their house unbelievable Southern housing does any know email address of Coe of southern housing

      Sorry but I think it's best if people just check things for themselves when they buy things. In three shops/restaurants (from some years back) I just avoid the places concerned, as in all three  cases I was pretty sure it wasn't a genuine mistake, and in one place  it happened more than once and usually late at night.
