Hi, I'm on here to see if theres anyone who can help us, I am a single mother of 2 young disabled children and I am showing symptoms of the corona virus. I have no access to food and have tried to do an online shop but there are no delivery slots available. Is there anyone willing to pick food up for us? My sister is also staying with us and is showing similar symptoms - she is 8 months pregnant. We cant find any nappies and shes due to give birth soon. If anyone has any spare nappies or formula please could we take them off your hands? We are willing to pay for food and nappies. We are located in east dulwich.

Thank you so much

Hi Fleur

We use Kendamil milk for our 3 month baby. It?s produced in the U.K. which means if you set up a subscription they will deliver milk to your door each month. It?s ?9 a tin which we found fed our baby as a newborn for c.10 days (it know lasts 7 days as she?s eating more). It?s organic and she got constipated on other milks. The link is here: www.kendamil.com.

Many thanks

Anna

Ps we have one unused tin of Aptamil for new borns which I can deliver to you ? (Our baby ended up preferring kendamil as per my earlier post).

Also, if your sister is having a little girl, I have a bag of freshly washed 0-3 months girls clothes (body suits, sleep suits etc). Very good condition. I can drop these round too.

Let me know via PM if any of these would be any help to you.

Many thanks

Anna x

    • Hi Sue, they were not local solicitors. Andrea’s was based in Wales and the other firms involved were large nationwide conveyancing companies (rather than conventional high street solicitors). I’m happy to advise clients and buyers privately on what I believe to be their shortcomings but I don’t think doing so in public on the forum would be appropriate, particularly as they are not locally based. My general advice would always be to steer clear of the big conveyancing companies as they are, in my experience, notoriously difficult to contact when the need arises and the case handler is often not a fully qualified solicitor and so issues have to be referred upwards to “technical teams” internally, which was part of the problem in Andrea’s chain. • A slightly vulnerable but hopeful post… Hi everyone, I’m a guy in my mid-thirties who’s recently moved back to London and East Dulwich (I previously lived here for many years before, so I know the area well). But if I’m honest, I’ve found the return a little tough. Most of my close friends have moved out of London to start families — totally understandable — but it’s left me feeling a bit adrift and not quite sure how to make new connections again. Work has taken up a huge chunk of my life in recent years, and I’ve definitely let hobbies, interests and a proper social life fall by the wayside. I feel like I went from a fun social life in my 20’s to suddenly blinking and realising things had gone a bit er…quiet. So, I’m trying to redress the balance a bit — mainly so myself and my partner don’t murder each other 😂, and just to meet some new local faces. I was wondering: is anyone else in a similar boat? And would there be any interest in starting a relaxed, low-key local social group? Could be a casual pub meet, sports, park hangouts, live comedy nights — open to ideas!  I’m happy to do the organising/admin side of things — just wanted to put it out there and see if there’s any appetite. I’ll gauge interest and take it from there.  If you’d prefer not to reply publicly, feel free to drop me a DM.  Cheers all! 👋
    • It's Inner London. You could move somewhere else?
    • They are people.  That's how people often behave.
