Marijuana farm? They are traditional in East Dulwich. Usually try and bypass the electricity meter to avoid detection. Or........what else could it be? I missed the helicopter action. They are 4 vans now, a hole is being dug and the coppers look very bored.

Is it wrong to be this nosey, if so I blame it on ?lockdown? 🤪

Nothing wrong with being nosey. Our neighbour was up and witnessed a burglary by van, reported it and not only did the police get the burglars (apparently) but also found a marijuana farm in the property as mentioned. Think the work they?re doing now is to do with the electrics as mentioned.

Are you being serious? If only criminals worked sociable hours eh?

Busting a puff grow is hardly a good enough excuse to wake up probably hundreds of people. I had a big party recently, before the lockdown i might add, and my neighbours called the Police because of a few people laughing and chatting in my garden at 4am. So its okay for the Police to wake everyone up at that time of the day, but not for me when im having a party on private property?

Yes I heard it around 03.20am - 03.40am. It appeared to be flying quite High up.

Would of been a lot Louder had it of been flying at a lower altitude.

On what grounds did you make Your 'Formal' complaint. ???

The Helicopter was circulating so a live incident below and not following a vehicle being chased by Police on the ground.

I expect the Police havent got a great deal to do right now, with most people staying at home, hence why the resources being used here. I was in Peckham the other day on Rye Lane, and of course there was loads of people around, but apart from the usual rampant lack of manners, arguments and general not giving a damn attitude (and total abandonment of traffic/parking laws), what struck me was the lack of gangs of teenagers hanging around outside McDonalds causing trouble and the lingering threat of violence and vile language. This was a good thing, and must be a huge relief for the Met Police.

Growing and smoking weed is a victimless 'crime'. I dont personally indulge as i prefer other stimulants for my dinner parties, but there is no harm in smoking a plant that grows freely in the ground.

It is not antisocial to have a party till 4am. in fact, its extremely social to stay up with friends chatting and laughing and not kicking them out because you are afraid what your Victor Meldrew neighbours might think. I dont understand why instead of complaining they do not just pop round and join the party, there is always plenty of beers in the fridge.

    • I'd reread what you posted and try to summarise.  It just comes across as a rant.
    • Just shows, to me, once proud to be a citizen of UK.. now.. well if we pay/contribute to services - nhs, police, fire etc and folk who have made this there home - no matter what creed or culture.. for the love c of God, can someone  please explain to me.. how we have working royals who like them or not, have tried and continue to actually support and make a change and then we have Andrew.. who just destroys everything.. not just him, or royalty but his own children..  I had great admiration for The Queen - and respect.. as have a huge number of people.. but.. these old traditions where gosh.. live rent free and can’t get chucked out until I believe 2070? From what I scanned..well he has and continues to have it all.. has to go thru what old rules? Etc.  doubt very much he has even kept the upkeep maintenance up on his abode.. and do the shite keeps on pulling up.. What has Andrew done for UK or for that matter since he was 20?? Do please tell me       Totally off topic, before anyone jumps down my throat.. I just do not get how anyone is proud to be British at this point in time. Whoever is in power, seems to be able to help themselves to the public purse with no redress at all - Covid is a great example of lining of pockets.. Millions  given to Rowanda, so one is led to believe, to help with refugee problem and one can’t get a plane load off!  I simply do not get it at all. Use of food banks in UK growing yearly, homeless as well, nhs, police, fire service etc all on their knees..
    • Have applied the green roof at a number of properties and no issues you are concerned about detected. Have issues with cats defecating in the vicinity, however, they are not selecting the green roof specifically. Use decent compost, slow release fertiliser specific for green roofs, and lay it methodically not leaving blank patches. It looks amazing when cared for and adds value.
