The answer is clearly "no he isn't". But on this thread various people have ignored that to just strawman a "this is a leftie/momentum led" thing

People don't like Cummings - even if you don't know his background you can feel he's pretending to be something he isn't. He will fall, maybe not this time, maybe another, It might be satisfying to keep him on a string for a while.

I can't forget the way he fired that girl and when he's on the way down he can expect to be treated the way he treated people on the way up.

'Clearly?' You are full of insults but offer NO practical advice/solutions.

There are Tories who feel that Cummings has too much power for an unelected adviser...(shades of the attitude towards Alistair Campbell here!)

What is CLEAR is that Dominic Cummings did nothing wrong.....unlike the vultures outside his home - the press have truly showed their useless selves 24/7 during this pandemic

Don?t give either Johnson or Corbyn a big majority

Actually don?t elect johnson as replacemnt for May

Lock down at the start of March - don?t wait until nearly the end

replace Johnson immediately - probably with Hunt.

But how is it CLEAR Cummings has done nothing wrong?

Clearly vast swathes of the country, of all persuasions can see he has done something wrong. Of nothing else he has told the public to do one thing and has done something else and now the police are having to deal with portions of the public who say they don?t have to bother with lockdown because of Cummins behaviour. As the architect of the uk lockdown policy he has to comply.

Country face ls a longer lockdown with a strong her second wave with an uncompliant public, because of his behaviour.

How is this ?doing nothing wrong??

None of that is practical advice on anything since you give no reasons and I would 'advise' the complete opposite which is now the status quo...thank goodness- and the democratic will of the people.

It is even more clear that DC did nothing wrong as he has fully explained his actions on the briefing. And once again we see the hostility of the lefty media in all its glory.

If people think they can do what they like ( they've been doing it anyway) because of DC then they are just petulant children (which many of them are anyway)

If you don?t extend transition period, a country (this one) which is struggling badly with a pandemic will be on its knees as the cost and disruption of no deal takes place. I know you still have your fingers in your ears (will of the people!!!!!) but please. For the sake of the country. Face up to reality

(If a referendum was held today to nullify Brexit btw - I reckon your will of the people would net you about 35%)

Re: DC. A few points that for me are not clear.

1. Why in lockdown, with so few people on the streets and presumably as chief govt adviser access to a security detail, would threats of violence require him to go up north?

2. His wife was allegedly so ill she felt barely able to look after their child and had been vomiting but was somehow able to undergo a 250 mile journey with no stops? Their car also had a full tank but had not been filled that day?

3.Why did DC have to travel 60 miles to a beauty spot to test if his eyesight was good enough for the full trip back to London? Why did he choose to take his wife and child if there was any doubt?

4. Do we know if his wife is able to drive? If so, why could she not have driven back?

Many, many other questions but these are of interest.

One other peculiarity was his drive to the hospital to collect his wife and son. I thought he was bedridden for 10 days. When did that trip happen?

Did anybody else notice the smirk from Cummings as he walked away (I've conned you all), coupled with him being late (the late Dominic Cummings as my teacher would say) makes him look a little of a psychopath.

This morning on Kay Burley, on criticism from a Bishop all Gove could say was "I wish the Bishop well" - is it me or could that be a threat (only half joking :) - another creepy man) - just saw this - "Bishop of Worcester John Inge tweeted that he received an email warning ?stay out of politics or we?ll kill you?

Actually Burley made mincemeat of Gove this morning which I didn't expect - but she's combative at the moment.

According to a later Tweet from Faisal Islam, the edit for the blog has now been specifically identified as being made on the evening he returned to London from Durham. You know, that journey he just had to make because he had such important work to do in London...
