LOL I know, it was late, she's still alive she even has an account on something called "parler" if anybody wants to follow her.

yes- many of them have been actually banned from Twitter....

She explained why she was banned on Sky news Australia (very different from the lying hostile claptrap on Sky news UK incidentally) and it was ridiculous

I love the fact that people who constantly call others 'snowflakes' have run off to join Parler, because they're upset at people holding different opinions / challenging them. Personally, I feel pretty sorry for Hopkins, she's appears deeply damaged and unhappy to me. Will probably do her some good to be away from Twitter.

She only got her post deleted...other people get banned which is sometimes why they go to Parler.

Anyway we all know what you all really think now...there are plenty of intelligent people out there totally rubbishing what the 'mainstream' commie media present.

You can talk about me all you want...

I'll keep posting to keep your little cliquey 'banter' going if I can be bothered, or if there is something I think you ought to know.

uncle - there's no clique on here purposefully ganging-up on you.

What's actually happening is that individuals are separately commenting on their distaste for your views.

They do this independently, however it's probably the case that one's comment may inform and stimulate another's comments, which would be natural on any forum.

But please don't conclude there's a 'clique' out to get you.

You can'y seriously expect to make the comments you do, on a forum where some reasonable people are present, without opposing comments or serious questions being raised in reply.

..cat calls the dog 'hairy arse'.

Uncleglen. The problem is some people don't like to hear the truth. Go to Parler. It's a breath of fresh air. You can find a hell of a lot of news on there that the MSM are afraid to report on. Looking forward to seeing you on there Uncle.

I know you don?t really answer questions because your thinking is so erratic but how does that make any sense?

The new chief executive of Stonewall however ?has sought to defuse the increasingly toxic row over transgender rights, telling the Observer that her organisation would no longer seek to persuade its critics to accept its views on gender.?

Don't let them put you off Unc.

These personal attacks are designed to do just that. It's a tactic that activists of a certain persuasion use. This is analysed neatly in this book https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=JXNyDwAAQBAJ&pg=PT142&lpg=PT142&dq=socialists+always+use+intimidation&source=bl&ots=hGwrsK8zbQ&sig=ACfU3U1U-W65WopZ2S9xEjZjq7bABj0SuQ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj1_ofgg6XqAhWyunEKHZWXBkUQ6AEwCXoECAYQAQ#v=onepage&q=socialists%20always%20use%20intimidation&f=false

This and any forum would be diminished if it only contained the views of a minority of blinkered bully boys.

And that is the usual diatribe of those on the political fringes of opinion Effra. Instead of asking why their views are so offensive, they sneer at those correctly pointing out the offense. Bigotry will always be shunned by the mainstream for good reason. Racism, xenophobia, etc for the same reasons. Encouraging a bigot like Uncle to 'sock it to them' is everything that is wrong with the world.

This kind of junk which people spout, just naturally assuming they can talk like that and other people will simply nod and agree, it?s so depressing.

This country can hardly progress out of the knuckledragging swamp because of exactly this.

How many generations will it take to kill-off these types of thinkers ? Too many.

People are not allowed to have sensible middle of the road opinion anymore. On the one side, you have right wing bigots (like Uncle) calling anyone who challenges them hard left (nonsense). And then you do have a genuine hard left who are equally intolerant to any criticism of their views. These people are in a minority, but they bark very loudly at the moment, because they are emboldened by populist charlatans that have stolen mainstream parties and found their way to government. This will crash and burn in the same way it always does eventually.

    • Having enjoyed a day with Sayce HolmesLewis, I understand what you’re saying.  I appreciate your courage responding on here.
    • Thank you to everyone who has already shared their thoughts on this. Dawson Heights Estate in the 1980s, while not as infamous as some other estates, did have its share of anti-social behaviour and petty crime. My brother often used the estate as a shortcut when coming home from his girlfriend’s house, despite my parents warning him many times to avoid it. Policing during that era had a distinctly “tough on crime” approach. Teenagers, particularly those from working-class areas or minority communities, were routinely stopped, questioned, and in some cases, physically handled for minor infractions like loitering, skateboarding, or underage drinking. Respect for authority wasn’t just expected—it was demanded. Talking back to a police officer could escalate a situation very quickly, often with harsh consequences. This was a very different time. There were no body cameras, dash cams, or social media to hold anyone accountable or to provide a record of encounters. Policing was far more physical and immediate, with few technological safeguards to check officer behaviour. My brother wasn’t known to the police. He held a full-time job at the Army and Navy store in Lewisham and had recently been accepted into the army. Yet, on that night, he ran—not because he was guilty of anything—but because he knew exactly what would happen if he were caught on an estate late at night with a group of other boys. He was scared, and rightfully so.
    • I'm sure many people would look to see if someone needed help, and if so would do something about it, and at least phone the police if necessary if they didn't feel confident helping directly. At least I hope so. I'm sorry you don't feel safe, but surely ED isn't any less safe than most places. It's hardly a hotbed of crime, it's just that people don't post on here if nothing has happened! And before that, there were no highwaymen,  or any murders at all .... In what way exactly have we become "a soft apologetic society", whatever that means?
