TV aerial specialist required

Hi all

I am desperately looking for a qualified tv aerial specialist. Since switching to digital the picture on out tv is rubbish and think its due to aerial on roof being effected by wind and rain as that's when it's totally distorted.

Any recommendations will be appreciated

Many thanks in advance

Would definitely recommend Chris at Aerials Installed - he came out to us recently and had to first fix the wonky aerial on our roof, then rewire badly-installed aerial in loft. As he was about to leave and had packed up and put his ladders back on van, he noticed a flicker in the tv signal and insisted on getting everything back out again to go back up and investigate - and succeeded in fixing the flicker we'd lived with for two years. Was hugely impressed with his commitment and the quality of work for a reasonable cost.

On Monday 13/05/13, we had problems with our Freesat TV signal. Checked the EDF and found several recommendations for Paul of NUNHEAD AERIALS.I phoned Paul and left a voicemail message, Paul phoned back a couple of hours later and booked a call the next day between 11:00 and 13:00. Paul arrived at about 12:15,checked the Freesat box and aerial and diagnosed a cable fault from the aerial. Paul repaired the fault in in about fifteen minutes, checked the system which is now working perfectly.

When completed I asked the cost. I had too ask twice it was so reasonable, so cheap in fact that I paid him double the fee he requested.

If you want the best in aerial installations and repairs, from a very pleasant, friendly and helpful guy, do not hesitate to contact Paul at NUNHEAD AERIALS. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY I HAVE NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER TO NUNHEAD AERIALS.

FOUND ON EDF.

Just wanted to say what a great, fairly-priced and friendly service Paul supplies. Had Paul come round yesterday to solve a long-standing problem with our signal. He made a quick assessment, solved the problem in about 30mins (despite the horrible rain shower he got stuck in)and tidied up some cables that were straggling from other work done.

A real gentlemen who provides an honest and professional service.

I highly recommend Paul from Nunhead Aerials as well, 07983 306705. Having found his recommendations on this forum, I contacted him and within minutes he responded and was able to fit me in 4 days later on a Saturday to install an additional freesat connection to an upstairs bedroom. He arrived on time and I was very impressed at how quickly and efficiently he worked. Very reasonably priced too. Thanks Paul!

    • I have signed that petition.  Someone was letting off loud fireworks at about 3 am this morning. They woke me up.   I don’t know where they were exactly but it sounded like they were in the vicinity of Dog Kennel Hill.
    • https://www.assistancedogs.org.uk/information-hub/assistance-dogs-emotional-support-dogs-and-therapy-dogs/   hello   i’d be interested to understand if anyone.has experience of Assistance Dogs especially for autistic children of different ages for emotional support and therapy   There was a prior thread on this topic on EDF 10 hrs ago but it had limited experiences and there was a (claimed) change in UK legislation in 2019. Whilst the industry appears unregulated/unlicensed, there are several providers (approx 15, perhaps more) who claim to have fully trained dogs or say that they can help families to train a puppy/young dog over the 18-24 months.  The latter obviously comes with a need for strong commitment to the challenge. Costs for a fully trained assistance dog are quoted at £13-15k albeit they claim £23k total cost to train the dog. On the one hand, this could potentially be a useful solution for some families if such a dog was truly trained as their websites claim and such a dog was accepted in public places and schools etc… On the other hand, I don’t think that I’ve ever seen an assistance dog of this type or in this context (only for a blind or partially sighted person) and hence a real risk of fraud or exploitation! The SEN challenge for families coupled with limited resources in schools or from local authorities or the NHS as well as the extremely challenging experience of many families with schools offering little or no support or making the situation worse leaves a big risk of lots of different types of fraud and or exploitation in this area.
    • Hi there  We live on Woodwarde Road backing on to Alleyns Top Field.  Our cat Gigi has gone missing — it’s been about 24 hours now. She is a cream Bengal. Could you please check sheds, garages, or anywhere she might have got stuck please? And if you could keep an eye out or share on any local groups/forums, we’d really appreciate it. Photo attached.   Thanks so much! My name is Jeff on 07956 910068.
