Post office

Hello,

My post seemed to vanish so am trying again!

Just wondered if anyone has been to the post office recently on lordship lane and can advise on when it is most quiet?

Or if the hours of working have changed?

I have not been out for a long while and am feeling fairly anxious.

More to get an idea of what going to the post office is now like with social distancing and masks etc..

I go to the one in dulwich village - much less of a queue and easier to distance

You can pre-print your postage. Do you need something dropped off? We are happy to help (we have a printer too).

Last two visits (yesterday and the day before)I just walked in without any queuing. Try and avoid first thing on Monday morning

Oh! Hadn?t thought of Dulwich village,good idea..how many people are inside usually? I was thinking I would try tomorrow when it opens at 9..hoping the forecast of rain is a deterrent for most!

76 Lordship Lane PO was still open at 3.10pm today with a queue outside. No indication that hours have been extended on the window or on the Post Office website, which both still say they close at 3pm.

Clearly just now was a poor choice of time to go to the main Lordship Lane Post Office, as there was a queue down to Ashbourne Grove. Duh.

When is a good day/time?

I have to say it?s very difficult to know... I run a small business (Perkier Naturally ~ botanical soaps) and go to the post office several times a week to post my letterbox boxes of soaps...

Some days it?s quiet just after lunch, but yesterday I queued around this time for an hour! Likewise, on some days it?s been quiet first thing, and other days the queue is extremely long. This may not be at all helpful to you (sorry!) but I guess what I?m trying to say is that there doesn?t seem to be much of a pattern.

The Post Office have finally updated their opening hours online.

Mon, Weds, Thurs and Fri: 9.00-5.30

Tuesday: 9.30-5.30

Saturday: 9.00-12.30
