computer help please

Hello I am a complete technophobe and prone to getting viruses on my computer. since Mike at Peck Tech has moved away am finding it difficult to find a good replacement. Anyhoo I logged on the computer and got this message - download and install a missing driver for your memory card reader -My question is 'does anyone know what this is? should i install it or is it a virus lurking, waiting for me to download on my computer. I recently had a virus and took it to Tottenham court rd to get it fixed. The problem was fixed but I don't think everything was reinstalled. for instance he backed up all my old stuff inc emails but when i try to open the old email I can't.

That was a long and rambling message and if anyone can understand what i've written and can help me I thank you

I can't advise much other than we have found the Christian in the computer shop on Pellat Rd (Netquest Consulting) to be very good and reasonably priced.

Did you have a memory card on your computer at the time. A SD card maybe the kind that is in your camera?

No there was nothing extra on the computer. I have never seen that message before and tried to download the card driver but am not totally confused as i got a message asking me to create a file for the driver.
