Off-road running routes

Hi. I am looking to find some off road running routes in or near ED. Ideally somewhere with a relatively even surface, but not too hard / high impact. If you?ve run the tamsin trail round Richmond Park, that?s the type of thing I have in mind. Anyone know of anywhere locally or within easy reach of ED that fits the bill? My shins need a rest from road running. Thanks

What distance are you looking to do?

I go round one tree hill a few times but its pretty hilly and uneven so probably not ideal.

try the outside of Dulwich Park- but be aware there was an attempted attack on a sole runner there earlier this year so try and go with someone.

the DP trail is fun...also be aware that dog walkers and people on bikes have been known to use that too!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm looking for somewhere other than Dulwich park ideally (for some of the reasons stated already). I want to run 10k plus, but happy to do circuits. Never been to one tree hill so will try that out. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.

Another vote for the outside of Dulwich Park, or various bits of Crystal Palace Park, or even a yomp through Sydenham Hill Wood for a bit of wildness.

Its tricky as a lone runner safety wise though- maybe th outside of Belair Park as its quite open- but boring. Parallel to the footpath at Brockwell park?

The woods - you can enter at the junction of the South Circ and Lordship Lane.

Also recommend Brockwell Park. It is about 1.7 miles around the edge.

Nunhead cemetary.

I'll have a think and see if I can come up with some more.

With a bit of Tarmac, you could manage a 10k trail around Peckham Rye and Nunhead cemetery. Clapham Common good too.
