With the potential for Christmas to be different this year because of lockdowns and the virus what things are you not going to miss ?


I for one won't miss Christmas Jumper day as it just seems ludicrous grown adults being forced to wear novelty jumpers with Rudolph on them or a Christmas cracker that lights up!

But it's only 95 days to Christmas and I'm building a covid themed advent calendar already 1st December has a toilet roll behind it and 24th December let's out a coughing sound when you open it!

The stress of buying a tasteful thoughtful gift for under a fiver (or amount set) for someone you barely know and who won't appreciate it and will regift it to their aunt or uncle who will appreciate it less.

Bob seasonal arrangements are everyone must wear green jackets green tights a pointy hat and fake pointy ears.and most important a green facemask.also if you see other people dressed the same .be kind give each other space .because there's nothing more important than looking after your ELF.

    • Is anyone else having problems trying to register their car for a residents LTN permit for upland road as the council web site only seems to want to allow blue badge holders a permit .
    • Posted around 12 cards 2 weeks prior to 24th December. Had some responses so know people have received them. Had about 20 cards - mixture of hand delivered and via post. After years of 'nagging' by myself and our daughters, we may have cured hubby of spending £4 plus on individual cards for our immediate family  ( when you have 12 immediate family it costs a bomb) Also as the girls state, they get put in the recycling bad at beginning of January regardless of cost.
    • There was a LETS scheme in ED and it ran for a couple of years or so. Trying to remember when it was pre 2000?  A couple of friends joined it, one did baby sitting for exchange for ironing, the other did small painting jobs or simple gardening. There was a set criteria regarding credits, 
    • Hi a bit tricky to run a train to Victoria from ED what way would it go on a new line 😂
