redmare
We're at our wits end: both struck down with vomiting, Ive wreaked my back from throwing up and can't stand - think I've slipped a disc. We've a 3 month old baby who'll be needing fed in a couple of hours. Does anyone know of any emergency nannies we can call on? uptime
You might also try contacting a meternity nurse who could come and stay with you for the rest of the week until you're back on your feet. We got ours (a long time ago now) through Greycoat, +44 (0)20 7233 9950. We didn't have time to interview in advance and just took whoever was available at the time. Also expensive though. lorraineliyanage
Try Kay, she is a local childminder - CRB checked and a qualified first aider, she may be able to help at short notice.0208 299 1092 or 07852 451 033 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/26806-emergency-were-sick-with-a-new-baby/#findComment-593421 Share on other sites
alieh
We've used sitters.co.uk in this scenario - they can usually send people at 3 hours notice or less. redmare
Thank you all for the suggestions and PMs - hugely appreciate it. Husband recovered a bit and is holding the fort with the little one. I still can't walk which is scary but have some industrial painkillers which will hopefully help. This episode reminds me why we're moving to be closer to family, but also why I'll miss the forum and the kindness and generosity of people on here. Smiler
Let your husband look after the baby and get someone to look at your back, important to look after it.
