Hi all - from the post office website - you have until 14th December!!

Hello there! Want to write to Santa do you? Smashing idea! We do hope you've been a good boy or a good girl though. What's that? You have? Hooray! We're in business then and Christmas is a MOST serious business for Santa!

Santa is ever-so busy in the run-up to Christmas, which (I am sure you won't be surprised) starts for Santa every year in early January! You can imagine how excited he is right now as Christmas approaches, just weeks away.

All Santa's Reindeer are excited too, looking forward to stretching their legs once more on the flight from home to home, not to mention the mince pies and (hopefully) carrots all the children will be leaving out for them. You will try and leave just a little something for them won't you? Don't worry if you forget, they eat too much on Christmas Eve anyway!

Whatever you do though, don't forget to write to Santa in plenty of time. He has to manage his time really carefully at this time of year, especially as time management has never been one of Santa's strong points, but he's been on a course and hopes to respond to as many letters as possible this year.

Make sure you write to Santa by 14 December at the latest, attach a first or second class stamp and send your letter to:

Santa

Santa's Grotto,

Reindeerland,

SAN TA1

(You may address him as Father Christmas if you prefer, he doesn't mind what you call him, as long as you don't call him too early in the morning!) Rudolph is usually around and keen to give Santa a helping hoof, but make sure you remember these three important things:

write your name and address clearly on your letter to Santa

attach either a 1st or 2nd class stamp to the envelope

Santa really wants to receive your letter in plenty of time, so please please please let him get what he wants and send it before 14 December!

Happy Holidays!

Check out Portable North Pole too - you can set up so your children get a video call from Santa and it's hilarious to watch them watching it and answering his questions. You can upload a photo, so he opens a book and all their details are in it!!

    • We live in East Dulwich and often to go Rye Lane. I know people say there are good restaurants near Rye Lane.  Does anyone have recommendations for good places for lunch or dinner?  We like Manze for pie & mash at lunch. And I've been to Peckham Bazaar in the past, which was excellent.  Thanks!
    • My husband is currently a full-time carer for our two disabled children, and he’s keen to get back into paid work where he can fit it around our family needs. He’s immediately available and looking for local handyman work — from snagging and DIY jobs to gardening or general fixing-up. He’s capable, practical, and reliable, with plenty of hands-on experience restoring and maintaining, including with heritage/listed properties. If you have a to-do list you never quite get to, or need help with those annoying finishing touches, he’d be happy to help. Please drop him a message if you’d like to chat or check availability. 07968345884
    • Unfortunately Nissan was a disaster of a company when it created your car and still is, and most recently created another combined disaster alliance with Renault. Be aware, the trade value on your car is really low as no one wants to do the work & it's often only when it reaches near scrap value that someone (else) is willing to invest (their money) to try and fix. So if you're willing to front the money and fix your car that (you know) then that is most likely your best option (also understanding that it is outrageous that you should have to replace a CVT gearbox after 50K). If that isn't appealing consider a new Skoda Fabia 1.0 (Auto) on finance if you can't afford cash, it will last 20yrs.... (and avoid cars from the Stellantis group)
