My son has a lovely key worker at nursery, plus a few other staff who he/we think are fab and I'd like to get them each a little something nice from him for Christmas, but without going over the top ... any ideas would be appreciated as all I can think of at the moment is a nice box of chocs each. Thanks!
My sister works in a nursery and gets laden with chocolates and wine every Xmas. Not meaning to be ungrateful, she isn't much of a wine drinker and is weight conscious, so isn't the biggest fan (she also cycles to work and more than a bottle of booze gets v heavy). Her advice to me re what to get my daughters key worker was a gift voucher for jl or somewhere else- that way they can get something they really want or need. That said, I do plan on buying some nice biscuits for all the nursery staff, as they all know my lo and she has a good relationship with them all!
I tend to go for smellies, hard pretty wrapped soaps that can be put in drawers, or nice liquid soap dispenser, shower gel or hand cream, scented candles, potted seasonal plant, 'posh' biscuits. There are loads of great gift shops in E. Dul and the various markets.

    • ...and so, 4 years on from the "dramatic planning meeting" that approved the "meganursery", how has it all worked out in reality? The building looks nice from the outside - but I don't know anything more. Did either of the nursery businesses on EDG fail because there was no demand for nursery places in East Dulwich? Did Carmageddon on East Dulwich Grove get worse? Were pre-COVID work patterns abandoned forever (lol)? Were some of the concerns expressed in opposition to the planning application a teensy bit overblown...? https://southwarknews.co.uk/area/southwark/mega-nursery-approved-amid-dramatic-planning-meeting/

    • I would recommend Coopers bakehouse, which offer a similar service to B&C but it’s just focussed on really good bread, decent prices and keeps for ages (also freezes well).  Delivered by bike.
