East Dulwich was rough as fack when I moved into SE London. I used to enjoy the EDC (aka South of the River - you must be joking? - the cabbies' saying when refusing a client) before the EDT got too poncy and made upstairs into a restaurant. Downstairs in the EDT used to be a place to avoid and had a particularly menacing feel after football.

Lordship Lane was also known as Hardship Lane. Ahh the good old days!

When I was approaching the age where I could get served in a pub, my dad always told me to avoid the Mag. You would not recognise ANYTHING of the old Magdalla now.

    • Hello All, I'm after sun hats for adults some with physical and learning disabilities who enjoy outdoor activities with an organisation I volunteer with. If you have any caps, bucket hats, or aussie type sun hats that you no longer use or would like to pass on., any condition...I know some very appreciative peeps who would be very grateful. If you need info then please DM me. Thanks for reading.
    • I had the same thing happen about a year ago... a couple of times in fact. I obviously react a lot less to posts than I used to because it has'nt happened again!
    • The link below has further information suggesting that the shop demolition and square redevelopment is funded separately from the station upgrades, so will go ahead:   https://www.ianvisits.co.uk/articles/peckham-rye-stations-step-free-upgrade-has-been-put-on-hold-82360/
    • Last time the toilets were out of operation in the station M&S we were all told to go out and up to Sainsbo! Certainly didn't close (I'm not suggesting that's the thing the library should do!)
