Me too! I'm expecting my first at the end of July, it is a bizarre feeling isn't it! Will be nice to meet some first time mums in the area.

I've joined the Spring babies club too, as I'm due at the very end of May or early June. Hoping that this one is going to be early too, but you never know. I't #3 for me.

I had my first scan yesterday - fantastic but surreal! Have to say that I am quite impressed by King's so far.

I'm having my first scan 2 January and am due with my first baby (and I'm 36!) on 8 July

Just found out last week that I am expecting #2..still doesn't seem real! Due on 18th August (ish). Clofty: I had my first when I was 36. Don't worry, you definitely won't be in the minority!

Had my scan today which confirmed my due date of 8 July. Apparently everything is fine and I was surprised at how much the baby wriggled around (the dr called it a naughty baby as it wouldn't stay still for the scan!)

It's amazing isn't it? So little but still very much alive!

I am also impressed by kings- I didn't have to wait for ages and everyone seems nice so far

I'm tentatively joining you. Have got my scan at Kings tomorrow. Can anyone tell me, do you receive results of the blood tests (for downs) during the scan or do you have to wait a few days for the results?

petra_29 you get the result the same day, during your appointment. You might have to wait an hour for it though, my husband and I did and went down the road for a coffee whilst we waited. Good luck tomorrow!

Yes good luck! I didnt know this until I left but you can apparently buy "tokens" for extra scan pictures at reception for ?1.50 a time. I got a free picture but it was just the head which was a bit disappointing

Hello...had my first booking apt today which has made everything quite exciting! I just wondered if anyone had any advice re NCT courses? The midwife recommended them but also mentioned a lady called Ariadna who does classes but I know nothing about either as this is my first, so any advice would be great. Ideally we would like to meet new people to stay in touch with as none of our friends have babies yet and also get some advice on what's to come!

Have first scan on Friday, can't wait! Looking forward to hopefully getting to know some new mums in the area!

Oh hope your scan goes well Higgles. I don't know anything about NCT classes as this is my first too, but think it would be nice if we all could meet up...maybe we can be clueless together? :)

Thanks Astrid! Yes would be great to meet up with everyone at some stage...clueless together sounds great! I reserved a place on an NCT course but haven't confirmed it yet. Me and hub both clueless so all the help we can get is a relief. Sashabella I'm due 5 days after you!

I joined the Spring babies as well as by baby is due beginning of June but c section will be probably booked end of May :)

I have a 20m old girl already so this is my second :)

Has anyone thought about what type of pram they are going to get? Hey I might be thinking ahead but need new shopping focus as I will shortly be too fat for any of my clothes and I'm not looking forward to pregnancy shopping!

Not yet...I only know that the husbando and I will probably argue about it! Also he wants to leave *everything* till like the end of May as he firmly believes in that 'you shouldn't count the chickens before they are hatched'...

I disagree, not that I need to go out shopping now but I don't think that it's anything wrong with thinking ahead. :)

There seems to be so much choice so if I was you I'd do what I'm doing and narrowing it down to the top 3 each with reviews to back them up! I'm ensuring one is far too expensive and one seriously flawed in some way (eg it only comes in pink or something) so I get my own way! Also I am pretty sure some pushchairs need to be ordered well in advance (that's what I am telling my husband anyway!)
