It's rather lovely- definitely hearing Bill Callahan, especially on The Stranger

It's weird I could never really get into his earlier stuff, it just seemed too abstract and uncoordinated. Then a friend introduced me to Canada's new national anthem (awaiting approval *cough*) and I sort of began to understand the layering. Am now working my way back through his early stuff
