bon3yard
Wiggins looking very sharp a la Mod tonight, Sue Barker looked a little ill at ease when he took to the stage. It has to be our Brad doesnt it? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27363-sports-personality-2012/#findComment-600855 Share on other sites
Mick Mac
I'd say so. He certainly deserves it more than last year's winner. Bradley's achievements are unique. ????
I put a bet on Rory back in Feb, in a normal year that'd be pretty shoed in but Wiggins, Mo,Jessica , even the grumpy the Scot...all ahead Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27363-sports-personality-2012/#findComment-600859 Share on other sites
Mick Mac
Have bet on Bradley tonight. Odds on can't lose? Surely. And he is there. I don't think you can expect to win if you don't turn up. Ann
What about Ben Ainsley? Granted, sailing is not a popular sport inasmuch as most of us don't understand the nature of the it and the difficulty involved. It's only the last two Olympics that GB's medal haul has been praiseworthy; memories are short, we've been grateful for Ben getting us onto the medal board in the past. maxxi
After not having any women on the shortlist last year it'll probably be Jessica won't it? Help-Ma-Boab
Murray, Hoy, Grainger. Scotland 1,2,3. Got to be! I'm hoping wee Tam from the curling club gets unsung hero award as well! Ann
Sorry, but Murray has no real chance. Not under-estimating his achievements but he's not that well liked compared to the other contenders.Jessica must be one of the favorites. the-e-dealer
I still dont see why we seek personality in a sports person. Its like looking for the fastest 100 metres in the comedians. DJKillaQueen
I agree that Wiggins will probably get it, but we are spoilt for choice. I honestly can't decide who should get it. *Bob*
One of the few years the award has lived-up to its title. A winner.. With a personality. Most years it's just a case of 'has anyone won anything?' and 'has anyone heard of them?' - and even then a winner might not manage both of those.
