Om, I lost count of the number of times the queue moves so slowly I have mussed 10-15 mins from swimming or softplay at Peckham

And the hydro pool is open for such a short time each day in the holidays, compared with other pools

I spent yesterday calling Peckham to see what times were on. No answer. No info on website. Fusion head office had no info and couldnt get through either! After 5 hours I gave up and called forest hill who answered right away and said they were open all day

So we went there today

I think you might have been lucky to get a space on that road as during term time you have the parking from the two schools at either end of the road and of course the locals themselves. Fuschia, does your street have any nice amenities that the people from Forest Hill could avail of after parking outside your house? Care to name it?

The 176 and 197 stop right outside the pool so it is within and easy bus ride of ED.

BTW, I don't live on that street but I think Otta probably has loads of parking beside her.

Indeed, but you forgot to mention the chicken shop, the kebab shop, and the excellent offy that sells all cans for ?1.

PS. If you do come to the pool, I'd advise avoiding the cafe, it costs a fortune!

Fuschia, yes we had the same issue, 3 kids under 5 but could never park outside the house, always wanted to paint a Parent and Pram sign on the road. Yes, some people would say that would be discriminatory against all those people who pay taxes so that we can overpopulate the world.

Back to FH, while you are availing of the swimming pool and all the great shops on Dartmouth Road, call into Robert Stanford a really good estate agent or the other two and buy/rent a house there.

    • erm, I did read, I referenced and I posted - what is your point?
    • Try and read before commenting Sep, or you will, as you have done, not be relevant
    • if anyone believes Reform is a party they can trust then they really don't need to be insulted by me - they are doing all the damage themselves If people don't like the state the country is in they should question why Farage fought for Brexit and why it continues to damage the country so much. He and you will splutter it wasn't done properly but if you can't see the contradictions I can't help you
    • It's not incredibly difficult to understand that people vote Reform because they don't want the Tories back and they don't like Labour and they don't like the state the country is in. It hardly makes them "criminally negligent" - in fact, Sepiroth,  you can just stop insulting people just because you don't like what they have to say - it doesn't really add to your credibility. While Sep says "What the country needs is a serious, mature electorate", what the country REALLY needs is a party that we can trust - and that we do not have.  There is no point at all in having a serious and mature electorate if we don't have a serious and mature party to get vote for.
