Lombok

Lombok has been a great delivery service for a number of years but I feel now its time has come. 3rd time running I have been informed after I have made the offer that cards and cheques are not accepted. Unacceptable waste of my time. Time taken to write this out is less than the time I lost talking to them. Service is going downhill for some reason or other and the manager was not availabe {again} to discuss matters.

Its not ridiculous at all....for once I'm not carrying hundreds of pounds of cash on my person so thought I could, as i have on a number of occasions with Lombok, pay by card. Clearly, they should like, Thai Corner Cafe say they don't accept cards. No big deal. Where I've gone wrong I have no idea, but maybe you complainants are all Clapham-originates.

So they've told you on three occasions that cards and cheques are not accepted?

What made you think on the second and third occasion that their policy would suddenly have changed?!

Tony.

If I was you I would use cash next time.

You're repeatedly using their service so must be happy with their food ?

In my view it's a little harsh to recommend to 1000s of users that they AVOID a food outlet because you got pissed-off that they won't take card payments.

Have you told the manager of Lombok you've started this thread ?

I think you've over-reacted and should delete/amend your OP headline, it's just not reasonable.

Yes that is frustrating that the machine doesn't work, but you know that so why not just go to the cash point on your way home instead of ranting on here? A simple heads up about the machine would have been more than adequate.

I'll still be ordering from Lombok, the food is lovely and I have no issue paying cash as my meals don't cost hundreds of pounds. The service from the delivery guys and the guys on the phone has always been fine.

That was the best response on this thread and headline will be amended. Anyone who can't see the hundreds of pounds comment as pure humour needs to get out more.

I have over-reacted. That's not something you read on this forum ever is it? And have asked Mr/Mrs/Ms Administrator to delete the thread.

    • So what do you want to see happen in the site ? The developer has to make money so increasing social housing may not be financially viable and we 100% need more accommodation locally.  Also the quote that it will be used by people as second homes is a bit strange, I would have suspected that would be the opposite as people might look to the countryside for a second home, not a semi run down town centre. For future, can you attach files as PDFs not word documents as my firewall blocks Word downloads due to increased risk of carrying hidden payloads.
    • If you don't locate the owner happy to take it to a charity for you such as the Bike Project.  A description would be good and I can check my networks
    • Hi there,    We have been having our windows cleaned by a lovely man for the past 10 years. This is a bit bonkers, but we don't have his number. Because we were often at work when he knocked for payment, we set up a monthly direct debit to him and never needed to contact him. Now our neighbours are looking for their windows done. I wondered if anyone might have his contact details? He does many of the shops on Forest Hill Road SE22   Thanks!   Julia
    • It might be - but I'm not going to download 20 documents to find out.
