  1. Oh dear, you poor thing. Hopefully you recover from such torment.
  2. Sometimes it's nice to make the effort to search before posting: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1325117,1325117#msg-1325117 http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1301156,page=1
  3. Another "common sense" posting. Do you look both ways before you cross the street? Do we need a warning on that too? It took me 2 months to get my passport back last time - delays are always inevitable. Use some common sense and get organised. FFS!

I am willing to run a > community bush watch. FFS, do you seriously have that much time on your hands? If this is your biggest problem in life, then good to you! Seriously, get a life!
  5. I am surprised by this stat. Does no-one pay for a survey prior to buying? Banks see a basic survey as a requirement to lending ... and anyone who doesn't pay for a more thorough survey should know they are taking this risk. More unnecessary dramatisation!

I find this very hard to believe. Seems like your colleague isn't prepared to move out of their comfort zone and into a suburb a bit further out. With lower "living standards", do you mean they are needing to moving to Syria? I always thought living standards were relatively generic across London. What indeed do you mean by "safety"? There are plenty of safe affordable areas in London, or is this person scared of the urban myths of living south of the river. If they own their current flat, it is likely to have increased in value substantially. Enough equity to buy somewhere bigger for their family. I have just done the same, and there was no shortage of such properties in "non scary" areas. I really can't stand overdramatising a situation. All it takes is a bit of sacrifice and some thought and patience.
  7. If a man hanging a pi$$ is the biggest problem in their world, the OP (cella) - and everyone that supports her behaviour - clearly have a privileged life.
  8. Is this thread still going. FFS! Some guy needed to go to the toilet badly, the OP should have just minded their own business ... and life goes on. Some people have too much time on their hands. Seriously.

Cant see how there would be such a large increase in cars when most properties cant be converted into additional flats. Total toff.
  10. Clearly a slow news day. Totally taking the pi$$.

  12. These posts are completely pointless. Write to Tescos - no need to get emotional and childish on a public forum. It is one person's view. If you arent happy, voice your concerns to people who can make a difference. Or stop shopping there.
  13. There are no reliable Real Estate agents. They are unskilled salesmen, and landed in the job because they were no good at anything else. I have used Pickwicks, and they were awful. Didnt return calls or emails, lied on numerous occasions and generally unhelpful.
  14. I know its not ED; but it should be good for local house prices ;-) http://metro.co.uk/2014/04/16/9-reasons-peckham-is-the-best-place-to-live-in-london-4693255/
  15. Why do you need to know? I find the obsession with police and crime a little weird.
  16. I dont know the area, but this website tells you the monthly reported crime in your area: http://www.police.uk/metropolitan/00AY02N/crime/
  17. On the East Dulwich Forum.
  18. The buses are crowded through this section because there are a number of lazy people who get the bus for only a few stops to either ED station or DH station; when they could possibly walk. Also, leaving for work a little early some days wouldn't kill you.
  19. Yet another fine example of common sense going AWOL. However, it may be the case that the wife did indeed lock the car and a blocker was used by someone nearby. There are a few threads on this topic of late.
  20. Maybe we need a new thread, as this has gone completely off topic. Like 90% of the other threads on this forum.
  21. I know this sounds harsh; but I am still unsure why people continue to leave valuables in unattended cars? Do people have no common sense?
  22. To the OP: 1. I find it strange that people feel the need to rant like this on a public forum about these issues. Best to bring it up with the post office and not come across as a child. Besides, how are we meant to fix it? 2. The worst post office in London. Have you been to them all ?
  23. Now we know KidKruger works at DMC. What a prat!
