Moos
Thanks Mockers - I will speak to Mr. Moos to do my part in the search for the Eleventh Man but I suspect that he will think it's a silly game for foreigners and not want to play. PGC - do you think the cricket team might just want your milkshakes? ::o They do bring all the boys to the pitch. Jah Lush
I might just be able to make this although I haven't played for 25 years. I used to be quite a handy opening batsman when I was a youngster. I could do with a bit of exercise as well, so if you're a man short and a bit desperate, a nod's as good as a wink to a blind horse etc... mockney piers
Consider yourself on the team.I reckon we'll make 11 though, getting them across to Battersea on the day may end up being a bit of a struggle.Mind you, it's 5 minutes from Denmark Hill!! Jah Lush
Oh my god! What have I let myself in for? Or the Forum cricket team come to think of it. I'm a crumbling ruin when it comes to fitness and health. Brendan
I may not have the car either citizen. My position, which I?m sure is similar to yours, is such that if women decided to have babies I don?t have a car. I will have to see if any of them are due. Oh Jah don't worry I haven't played an actual game of cricket in about 13 years. This is why we must have a net. This Saturday anyone? kristymac1
I think I need a reminder on where the match will take place - there's mention of battersea but in the very early posts it talks about Wandsworth Common - which is it please? Oo and times would be good too.......... peckhamboy
Can't make the game, but if anyone else takes up Brendan's suggestion of a net on Saturday, I'll be along for that. LeonWatson
The bit where the pitch is is by Doricote Road off Trinity Road. Have a look on Multimap. Basically if you come out of the station of the west side entrance and walk onto the common heading north you'll find it in about five minutes. KingsRoadCaptain
Hello East Dulwich Forumers,This horrendous picture is of me, Raju, captain of King's Road CSC taken today. That bump on my head was me miscalculating how to bat against our opening bowler - and boy does it hurt. In our last match his bowling figures were: 7 overs - 5 maiden overs - 3 runs conceded - 3 wickets.Anyway enough about him. On our website, we have a page with the details of the match (location, direction etc): http://www.krcsc.co.uk/match.phpIf this has not already been done, I would like to establish the match stipulations and start time. In our previous match, we agreed on:- 40 overs a side- no bowler can bowl more than 7 overs- one new ball to be used for both innings- 2 members of the batting team to umpireIf you have any questions, email me at raju.mazumder at bristolalumni.org.ukCheers,Raju Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2825-hello-forumites-its-cricket-time-again/page/5/#findComment-101635 Share on other sites

Jah Lush
I'm terribly sorry but for reasons beyond my control I'm gonna have to pull out of this one. But best of luck and hope you win and have an enjoyable day. Keef
I'm afraid to say I'm a real doubt.I shall do my best, but Saturday is looking manic, I have to be at this venue for 4pm, help set up / sound check, then the event starts, we finish playing at 1am, then have to wait for everyone to leave before we can get the gear out, so I will be lucky to get home by 4am, and think I will be totally knackered! So what I am saying is I am going to try, but don't count on me. Sorry. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2825-hello-forumites-its-cricket-time-again/page/5/#findComment-102228 Share on other sites
