In response to your question Keef, regardless of affiliations, a prat is a prat no matter what colour, race or creed. I'm sure that you, as we all do, know of supporters that are a disgrace to the club they allegedly support and themselves. One of the nicest guys I work with is a Spurs supporter, and we get along really well. So the colour of the football kit is not a problem for me. The persons character of course is something completely different.

You couldn't score if you fell into a barrell of tits, you'd come up sucking your thumb. Just like Fergusmoan having a sulk.!!! B)

I'm a gooner and have been since 1970. Nick Hornby's Fever Pitch pretty much describes my feelings for many years. Both my ex and my current partner were/are ManU fans so have had to develop a thick skin! We're all right most of the time through a shared loathing of Chelsea! but when the two teams meet we find it hard to watch the game together and stay civil. Now what was it that Bill Shankley said about football?

Another thing that gets trotted out this season....what a load of rubbish. Entertaining? Meh. Good football? Yes. 'By far...the most entertaining football team...' I'd say Man U are easily as exciting every week.

Well...that's put any chance of a bit if biff to bed.

I am a little stumped.

The only exiting thing about Man Ure is the touch line antics of the Knighted one, venting his spleen on all and sundry about the unfair treatment his charges receive each week. He is most definitely excitable.

Ahh, that's better!

It wouldn't be the same without him though would it Atila? Just think, no more 'Fergie time', no more 'disrespecting the traditions of the FA Cup'. No more 'red-nosed alcoholic' jokes. What would the Gooners do with their boundless wit?

*After all, it's not like Arsene 'do you want a sweetie' Wenger likes to moan about matters football is it? He's almost single handedly destroyed the national game in this country by playing a team composed almost entirely of - shock horror - foreigners! He's also, allegedly, a pedalo and blind by all accounts.

*Just an example of some United style wit! ;-)

Cassius. I was merely trying to highlight how we all hear the same old things trotted out about managers. As I said, Fergie's an alcoholic, Wenger's short sighted or whatever, Keegan doesn't know what he's doing (in this case it's true). Don't be so touchy, as a 34 year old football fan I've heard it all before, it's idiotic but it's just another way to get a rise out of a rival supporter. Do you really think that I believe Arsene is a kiddy fiddler? Of course I don't.

Yes, a very enlightened view from a Man Ure fan. Is this what passes for humour in Salford. My, my, the long dark winter nights must fly by up there with such rapier like wit at your disposal.

    • I’m not sure how many other people have experienced this; but both me and one of my friends have the same story. Around Crawthew Grove and Crystal Palace Road: I was followed by a large fox right on my heel. At first I didn’t notice because I had my headphones on, but then I noticed my shadow had an extra lump in it, funnily enough, it was a fox, very very close to my feet. Even if I sped up walking it just tried to get closer - it was quite frightening actually, it was quite clear that it wanted to nip me. I didn’t know what to do so, I started to reprimand the fox and walked slowly away from it, facing it - which it didn’t seem to like and backed off a bit. I then proceeded to speed-walk away.   Quite frankly, the whole situation was quite embarrassing and a little bit frightful as I’d never had a fox even come up to me. I’ve heard of particularly curious foxes that might come up to someone who beckons them, and maybe even bite that person, but I’ve never heard of a fox chasing someone. The amount of confidence that it had was incredible.    When it happened, I was on the way to see some friends, and once I had told one of them, she told me the same thing happened to her.  if anyone else knows anything about this bitey fox then let me know!
    • Another recommendation for Andy. I needed an old kitchen removed as an emergency. Andy came over quickly and did a fantastic job. I have used Andy a few times. He is punctual, helpful and always does an  excellent job.
