Hi all,

Quite often when I am nodding off to sleep at night, a question pops into my head, and I think, "I must post this on the forum - it is truly the only place I will get the right answer." Of course, when you wake up next day, you think - "How bonkers was that?"

Last night I considered posting a picture of an outfit I intend wearing to a wedding in April, and asking you if you thought the shoes were too dark! (In the cold light of day, I have realised, that they may well be, but I don't give a stuff if they are or not, I ain't buying no more....I'm only the bridesmaid after all!)

Any other crazy threads you've considered, then rejected for their inanity. Or do you just post on regardlessly?

PS - Should I post up my outfit?

Yes, definitely post your outfit.

And yes, I think of things to post all the time, mostly completely barking. Fortunately, my brain to mouth, or rather brain to typing fingers, filter is usually quite good. I do have occasional, embarrassing lapses though and the crazy sneaks out.

Wee Quinnie

Link to bag failed, but anything a la Kidston would be sublime.

The dress is absolutely beautiful, I am sure you will look knockout. My only thought is that flat pumps with a strap at ankle position won't be flattering to your legs (nb, dark colour not a problem). Push the boat out with some heels.

Thank you for your endorsements Moos and PGC - I value your input! However, I must say I am not mad keen on heels, as I never wear heels and dread the idea of sore/tired feet.

I am conidering taking the shoes back to m and s in light of your comments. Good call!

See attached for scanned necklace and home made bag

HI Wee Quinnie,

Gorgeous gorgeous dress - I love Coast, always my first choice.

Glad to hear you're returning the shoes - good luck in your search. I had a similar problem when I was a bridesmaid - I simply hate wearing heels (come May I will return to wearing Birkenstocks for the next six months). But I did find some small silver heels in Dorothy Perkins (of all places!).

Love the necklace - you haven't mentioned what you are doing with your hair, but I have discovered that a fascinator adds a certain je ne sais quoi to a wedding outfit!

I am loving this thread Wee Quinnie - I definitley might post outfits in the future ....

Ooh, ooh, this is the funnest thing. Thank you, Wee Quinnie for starting this! The bag is lovely, and you can be tres smug when people ask you where you got it from.

Have you thought about wedges? Heels, but comfy! Great stuff. Or something with an ankle strap so it doesn't fall off your feet when you dance, but in a pale colour so flatters your leg. Sorry haven't found any shoes yet, but will keep trying.

Thank you Moos - hadn't thought of wedges.

    • Was planning to come on here to ask if anyone might know which celeb/royal came through Lordship Lane yesterday - was on my way up to Spurs, on bus at the roundabout by the EDT when some whistling police cyclists pulled the traffic to the side of the road to allow a biggish range rover to shoot past, on the way up towards Dog Kennel Hill. Could only make out two, maybe middle-aged, men in the front before it passed. Mildly hysterical lady on pavement was laughing/screeching with her friend that they were desperately trying to find out who it was. Had more reason to post after this lunchtime's experience. Had just got to bus stop opposite the M&S by the station when some mini cooper thing bombed through the traffic, swerving across to cut up another car to get up the hill, before two or three police cars followed about 20 seconds behind. Said mini cooper thing then reappeared coming the other way, beeping its horn to get other cars out the way before it bombed up what I think was Elsie Road, with police cars now on both sides of the road by Maxin trying to stop traffic getting in the way/half the speeding car. Bit more than I had bargained for when I set out/want in local area! Stay careful out there folks, this place is getting scarier...
    • The stop outside the chippy was still closed earlier today, although the barriers I saw yesterday have been removed, so no need for the closure.  The stop outside the church across the road is now uncovered and open
    • You all have different and conflicting interests though. It isn't necessarily appropriate for him to communicate with all of you at the same time about the same issues.    You're giving more away with each post as to how these difficulties probably arose.
    • @CPR Dave He needs to communicate collectively with all of the beneficiaries.  That is the whole point of my original post.  Electronic communications are the best way of doing this, as I am doing now on this forum.  Apart from the gold digger who will get a six figure sum the rest of us are on four figures, and that is going down by the day. I'm offended by any suggestion that we are not behaving well.  What on earth do you mean?
