It's not their money, they just spend it and have no accountability, then they say a deficit exists and council tax and other charges etc. are duly increased with services provided being reduced. I hope the people of Southwark make their feelings known at the next local elections and throw this shower out of office.

Perhaps someone will add Thank You for Supporting local businesses

.....because we certainly didn't.

They have some front putting those up given the lack of any tangible support for the traders anywhere in Dulwich from the council. In fact they seemed to go out of their way to make things as difficult as possible for them.

Bet your bottom dollar that they are related to to high street recovery fund

Which if they are, means some bright spark has spent some of the money destined to help high streets improve , on banners !

Hopefully the funding will be used for something good and not more street art / wacky painting schemes.

    • It should be easy enough to point out to anyone even thinking of voting reform that should they take power they will have no impact. And will make things worse.  And if people think politicians break promises now and reform are a breath of fresh air then they ain’t seen nothing yet  but they won’t really care about immigration if reform do win  uk used to be about law and order and now we have dim talking heads everywhere unchallenged going “leave the ECHR, stuff the judges, just do it!!”   like life is that simple sweeties
    • I have been reliably informed that it's not the same group.
    • my bet is it's the same group and no amount of talking to is going to make a difference.
    • Definitely not intended  to come across as "gleeful". Quite the opposite, because developments such as this will only encourage extreme right-wingers such as Reform. And heaven help us if they ever formed a government. It's incumbent on Labour to come up with an effective  policy to "smash the gangs" otherwise we are facing Farage and his gang further down the road.
