That be the work they are doing at the reservoir near the Colyton/Homestall road junction which is the entrance to the tunnel.

Thames Water Ring Main Extensions talks about it and has a vague map. I would have thought it would be very very deep under the Plough area (if it was taking that route).

Wasn't there work at goose green that was part of the new ring main a couple of years ago?

I don't think that's true as we have received a letter informing us of the plans and also saying that those homeowners where the pipe will go directly under their property will be informed separately.

I certainly remember our neighbour mentioning that they are going under his garden! They probably don't need permission due to the deep levels (i.e you probably don't own the bedrock!)

    • Just wanted to come on and give the very highest of recommendations for the service I received from Nunhead Carpets.  Not only did Vince (shop manager) open up shop again for us when we arrived late, on spec to see samples, and talk us through all the options but Darren, who then came to fit the new carpet and underlay on five flights of stairs and two landings, has done an incredible job going beyond expectations.  Expert work from a real pro, arrived on the dot, worked hard and left everything looking wonderful.  I cannot speak more highly of this service and will use them again in a whisper.
    • My first action would be of course to go onto social media.  Or maybe not 😉
    • Thanks for the suggestions! If the Angel Oak is the pub on the edge of the Rye, it's probably not too far, but there might be more central (to East Dulwich) pubs to try first. No way will Nyge and I  ever  go to the Cherry Tree again, sorry. We had the most appalling Christmas Day meal there,   which cost us nearly two hundred pounds (for two people) without drinks. It was the only place within walking distance  locally which had availability that day, apart from the Plough (which ironically we wanted to avoid after previous bad experiences with the food  there). We did complain at the time, and were given a free bottle of wine (we don't often drink wine and were having beer with the meal) but we did not want to make a huge fuss and spoil other people's day as well.  Our detailed complaints in an email  were never properly addressed, and my last email to the manager was never answered.
