  1. I saw someone riding a Boris bike along the rye on Saturday. They were slightly off the beaten track because the nearest docking station is in Elephant.
  2. Hello Just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a current constituency map for Dulwich and Norwood / Peckham and Camberwell. The boundaries are being / have been amended and there is a wealth of conflicting information on the net. Many Thanks
  3. Can take 30min longer than that. Depends on how snarled up the traffic is.
  4. Why are there two roads called east dulwich road? Perhaps we could call your road lower east dulwich road
  5. Hello I just saw this bird of prey in my garden in East Dulwich eating another bird. I think its a sparrowhawk, but im no ornithologist... Anyone out there who knows more about birds?
  6. Hello Just to let the posters on this thread know that there is a police witness sign on East Dulwich Road opposite Tesco asking for witnesses of a crash on 8 September 2009 to come forward. I assume that this is the same crash as discussed on this thread. Thanks
  7. Hello Anyone know any pubs in ED which are showing the Heineken cup today? Thank you
  8. i would recommend dividing it into different broad topics such as the classifieds in the back of a local newspaper.
  9. Hello there. Just wondering how you calculate unique users? For example if it done by ip address do you account for the same user on different machines - like work home and mobile? If not I was wondering if you could correlate a user names with multiple ip addresses
  10. Thanks for the update. This is great news. Circumferential travel in London is notoriously bad. Increasing the transport options for South London in my mind can only be a good thing. For example it seems that this extension will make life easier getting to various airports.
  11. Saw 3 Community Support Officers stopping and fining cyclists for riding on the pavement today at the East Dulwich Road / Peckham Rye junction. Looks like they are clamping down on rogue cyclists...
  12. @ daver - i take the same route to holborn. Its the quickest route i have found - but i am open to other suggestions. My route has evolved over the last 18m. Tfl says london bridge and cheapside this route is awful. I avoid burgess park because its too dark at night. Southwark bridge is good but the pedestrians coming out of canon street are too irritable...
  13. I think its a hump in the road - but why do you care whether one hump in the road is different from another?
  14. i wooden't like to make wild accusations but perhaps someone put a tree preservation order on a tree in the middle of a plot of land ripe for development? A good tactic to persuade the planners to reject an application, if it involves chopping said tree down.
  15. I like this bookshop too. Admittedly it is the only bookshop. But I think I would still use it over a Waterstones etc. I would like to see it open earlier at the weekend, but I think that's more a reflection of the time your average shopper gets out of bed.
  16. A rough guessimate using google maps (by entering SE22) and looking at a map of SE22 I would say somewhere half way down Barry Road (Perhaps between Goodrich and Silvester Road)
  17. One way to solve the one way street issue would be to make one pavement dual use i.e. a pedestrian / cycle path the length of the street. Might have to make the pavement a bit wider to cope
  18. The tunnel will follow the roads, otherwise Thames water will need to seek the permission of each landowner under which the tunnel is excavated.
  19. @ Peckhamgatecrasher The same woman tried this to me about a week ago. Apparently some random relation of hers had died and for some convoluted reason she needed about ?38 to get a cab to the hospital. She seemed to think that a bank statement with "her" address on it was proof enough for me to find her afterwards and claim the money back - I thought about pointing out that she could have found the bank statement whilst rummaging in someone's bins. Anyway I told her I couldn't help, but I wish I'd told her to get the bus...
  20. I cycle from ED to Grays Inn Road: Peckham Rye Lane, Surry Canal (Boathouse walk?),Glengall Road (over Old Kent road), Lynton Road, Grange Road, Bermondsey Street, London Bridge, Bank, Cheapside, Holborn Viaduct, Grays Inn. Its basically the NCN route 22 from Peckham to London bridge (Sustrans). I like the NCN route but sometimes its not direct / quick enough. At risk of someone repeating themselves, any suggestions for a different route?
